Given his most recent indiscretions, perhaps Dominic Cummings might be due an old fashioned, public school thrashing!

Actually it was the Mainstream Press who got the spanking at the press conference Cummings called, not Cummings himself.

Probably confusing to our American friends but Tina O'Brien and Lucy Fallon as a Coronation Street mother and daughter combo hip to hip over the back of the sofa for a dozen each with a rattan cane.

I wouldn't mind seeing the new White House Press Secretary upended over a knee, and maybe having her mouth washed out with soap for fibbing in her press briefings!

It's too easy to slip into political discourse, even though you suggested not to go in that direction. Without political leanings, there would be no reason for me to mention any dudes, and not really any reason that a female celebrity would "need" one.

I'm one of those easier going tops.

I think a lot of people would disagree about certain celebrities not needing a spanking. Most of their opinions are not about the celeb's political beliefs, but about their bad behavior, such as Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan's drunk driving. Or because they come across as arrogant or obnoxious.
Like to share something I have come to realize. Miley Cyrus actually can sing. Saw her in duets with Elton John and Melanie Safka of Woodstock fame on YouTube. And I had dismissed her as just another twit who thought lack of clothing made up for lack of talent!
She does not need to do all that other stuff, the twerking and nastiness. Maybe she needs an older female entertainer to take her under her wing, be her mentor. As for the lady spanking her-let the two of them work that out and decide.

I wasn't trying to suggest that no one should see the practical application of hand to rear correction for some celebs. Just that for me, it would be more sexual, and thereby less corrective (and yet if that is the case, then I should be in the other thread). For me, spankings are things I do/share with people I like, and care about. Even then, I'd talk to them over spanking them. Beyond that, at my age, I prefer not to harbor anger or entertain frustrations that I have no hope of ever enacting change.

I guess, unlike some, even in fantasy, I just don't see the correction of adults for real world social faux pas as intriguing. For political bias and social/political manipulation, I could instantly name several, but that was not the intent of the thread and I like abiding by rules.

The best way you can show you can lead is by showing how well you can follow.

One female celebrity whose behaviour has at times been obnoxious and outrageous - and who also is rather good looking (but beauty is only skindeep) is that notorious Swedish "Hollywood housewife" - Anna Anka. I would be delighted to wallop her bare bottom - if only it were legal. And safe! (After all, she might avenge herself with the aid of a great big ice cube!)
