I'd have called her "homely" now. In her youth, though, when she first met Prince Charles, a photo suggested she was decidely attractive. Camilla sounds a spankable name, but I think I'd put it on another bottom.

I tend to get Camilla and Anne confused, I think it's the fact that they are both keen equestrians and rather resemble the horses they ride. I do remember hearing that one of Anne's brothers (probably Andrew) reduced her to tears when she was pregnant the first time by cheekily asking her what stable the child was being born in.

Hmmm...perhaps it was high praise, comparing her to the Virgin Mary. Andrew is also the source of a story I like - that soon after he joined the Navy he was at an officers' bar in some naval establishment and a more senior officer approached. Andrew said, "Hi! You can call me Andy." The officer said: "Hi! You can call me Sir."

Andrew seems to be one of the more likeable royals. I think he's a bit more like his old man than any of his brothers.

I was reliably informed that his old man (Prince Phillip) used to enjoy a good piss-up and boy's night out in officer's messes all over the country.
Apparently they were the only places he could trust absolute confidentiality.

Andrew is a loud-mouthed pain in the arse, or alternatively, a loud-arsed pain in the mouth. He did fly helicopters in the Falklands War, though.

Prince Philip is gaffe-prone and reportedly had little idea how to encourage the confidence of the short-of-confidence Prince Charles (he probably told him to pull his socks up and act like a man), but there's a kind of rough warmth about him and a sincerity. What's more, unlike Andrew, it simply doesn't occur to him that he could be important or people should look up to him because he's a royal. Comes from being an impoverished Greek exiled royal, maybe also from war service in the navy (he wanted to be an RAF fighter pilot, but as he was already Elizabeth's heart-throb, the royal establishment said no - the navy is where royal warriors go. Good decision though, because his chances of surviving were better in the navy.

Phil the Greek, as we often call him down here, was actually escorted (thrown is probably a better word) from a high class establishment in Melbourne during the war because he and his mates from the navy got into a brawl. Prince Harry's another one that seems to be a bit of a throw back to the older years.

Brawling in foreign ports is an ancient tradition of the Royal Navy, second only to brawling in home ports.

Yes, I do believe one of the princes get married in the UK. I seem to recall that created a hubbub all around the world. And if my sources are correct, the allegedly well-rounded backside of the bride's sister was the subject of much discussion. Those of you who watch television are so lucky to witness history in the making.

If we want to call this "history in the making" I suppose we are lucky. I prefer to think of it as absolute waste of time and money in the making....LOL. That being said I know a lot of people iiked it for its soap opera characteristics and the romance type stuff.

Also I times I wonder if we are "lucky" to watch television. I do watch it but often after several hours I wonder why I wasted the time.
