I thought Kate's sister's bum looked rather nice in her bridesmaids dress.

I hadn't intended to watch any of it bit I made my wife a cup of tea, and ended up watching the service. I really liked the music, and I thought the trees looked beautiful.

I used to be a republican, until Blair tried to be presidential, and then I realised how much better a constitutional monarch was than a president from any of our recent Prime Ministers.

I also watched a bit of the festivities with my wife. I was amazed at the horses! Beautiful horses, lots and lots of horses. Does the UK government really keep all those or are they borrowed from somewhere? I was starting to imagine that perhaps you folks still keep whole regiments of mounted knights in reserve somewhere?

What this old American Business major actually saw was dollar $igns, but in this case £ or € would be far more appropriate. It costs someone millions to maintain all of those horses.

To bring things around to spanking; at least keeping all those horses should help guarantee that riding crops stay in production.

Hmmm... I wonder whether there are more riding crops used on people than on horses.

I seem to remember young Pippa also got a mention in Cal's story as being even more of a spanking slut than her sis.

I guess these days chopping their heads off would be considered a bit extreme so maybe one alternative would be to sell them to the USA (maybe throw in Tower Bridge as an inducement?)

My sentiments exactly. I'm sure Disneyland would be eager to put in a bid.

That would, of course, be the FICTIONAL Pippa.

There are over 200 cavalry horses at any one time. Most will be at Melton Mowbray, or Windsor and the ones you saw yesterday were mostly from Knightbridge Barracks belonging to the Blue's and Royals (red plumes) and the Lifeguards (white plumes). I have had the privilege of riding many of these - although a few years ago now - and they are indeed stunning, although often less than perfectly behaved but great fun!

The grey carriage horses are from the Queen's stables and are also stunning and I noticed that even the Met police had all their matching greys out too...

AFAIK the San Diego Zoo is always looking for unique new exhibits of animal life... --C.K.

I am not a royalist in any shape or form and the constant BBC grovelling has been annoying me for days but I realise I shall always be in the minority and never complain at the shocking waste of taxpayers money! I wish the happy couple every joy and as someone insisted on switching on the telly anyway despite my protests to see the dress!! I must admit she did look very attractive. She only promised to love and honour not to obey and I don't blame her! I never promised to obey either!

Personally, as far as the so-called 'royals' go I think the French had the right idea...

I suspect this week the airlines, hotels, London restaurants and the rest of the UK tourist industry would be voting against you. There must have been many millions, perhaps billions, change hands over the last few weeks due entirely to the wedding. Probably enough to show a temporary blip in the UK GNP!
