Couldn't agree more with all the above. While a similar plea might be addressed to authors in repect of the sexual content of spanking stories at least the excellent classification of the stories in the LSF allows one to choose what to read.

That was always a problem with the spanking magazines in the 70s and early 80s. Girls being spanked in all sorts of bizarre contorted positions intended to show their crotch. It was clear they were being put out by straight porn producers who just didn't have a clue in the world about the fetish. They were just trying to exploit a nitch market.

I have to disagree a bit. Not about porno-spanking movies and photos, I agree wholeheartedly that they belong in porno sections of those sites.

But there were spanking magazines notably in UK, in the 70s and 80s that had the most fantastic spanking photos, well posed, and without a hint of crotch. Possibly HM rules. In fact the rules impeded showing real weals. Janus and Blushes come to mind. Glossy full color, and with the most spankable girls south of North Pole.

Just about all of the above posts reinforce what I have said multiple times about all of the spanking sites videos, Lame, lame, lame!!! . I do have to say that some of the stills that go along with these lame videos are not so bad.

Yes there are a lot of really bad videos out there, and I agree with many of the reasons given here as to why they are bad, but for me, anatomical explicitness is not one of them. Far from viewing female "bits" as "gynecological," I see them as cute, beautiful, sexy, fascinating, etc. Likewise female anal "stars." Of course I know that everyone has an anus, but curiously it is only the female ones that I like seeing- but I do. This spanking kink seems to be a cluster of related kinks, and not just one. Most people think "spanking" and "S&M" are the same thing, but for me, nothing is a quicker turn-off than black leather, rubber, dungeons and so on. I detest any sort of verbal abuse. For me it is about sex though, and specifically the erotic charge from imaging myself in situations that involve a lot of premeditated ceremony and embarrassing exposure. That is why I guess, that explicit exposure does not bother me (to say the least). Just watching a bottom being smacked again and again bores me, and if it is through clothing- even as brief as a bikini- it bores me more. To each his or her own though, and I seem to be in the minority here. Also, I think that stills, like stories, allow the consumer to construct more of their own story, which allows a better fit to their own kink.

The matter of how much anatomical display is one that is best seen as "to each his own."
If spankings given completely barebottom is what turns you on ,fine. But others' turnons are just as valid. As I have said before, there is no "correct" or "incorrect" way to give a spanking,nor to write a story, or make a video.

Redskinluver sums it up quite well. Everyone on here has their own ideas of what is good or bad based on their specific preference. For example, I can honestly say that I have not seen one spanking video that I did not think was lame for one reason or another. It comes down to either the spanking itself or the second one of the participants opens their mouth. As far as stills go, which is why I have joined various sites, it's difficult to find good ones. I'm no expert by any means but the guy or gal taking the photos needs to know what they are doing (good equipment, proper lighting, etc, etc) or the photos come out looking like sh#t. Having said that, the other thing is that most if not all of the spanking sites I am aware of are VIDEO sites, not picture sites so the stills are secondary.

Still, the point made that with stills, you can put together your own story is a very valid one, from my perspective. This is exactly what I like to do. This is also why I have plugged some of the amateur modeling sites which have nothing to do with spanking at all.

Add my name to the list of spankos turned off by unrealistic, sexually explicit spanking videos. Some of the most gratifying videos have been from movies available on you tube. The scenes are short, and not always that revealing. But they convey enough of the action and the intense emotions that make it seem totally real.

Another of my peeves is that most often the girls are completely naked. That having been said, among the ones I like are Exchange Student, And For You I Will Come, Teachers Exam Meeting. There area few others if anyone is further interested. I would also welcome recommendations along this line.
