Before the internet I read the publications that Sassy Bottoms put out and enjoyed those stories. When I first found spanking stories on the internet I read Lurking Dragon's stories.

I go way back on the Internet, the first was Miss Lilly O on alt sex spanking, aka assville, then KFR, then John Benson and now ruegirl. They all have some of their stories on here now. What they all have in common is their stories are well developed, written and have spanking and sometimes sex in them.

My main drive to learn English and French was to read spanking stories. Starting with '60 and '70 magazines like Janus, Kane and Blushes and spanking letters in Penthouse and Mr. progressing to extremely hot Victorian and Edwardian novels on both sides of the English Channel, to titles like "The Whipmasters", "Le Martinet"; Les Deux Camilles" and so many others to a story on Readers Digest (yes!) describing the benefit of a good loving spanking for a brother and sister in a foster home, complete with an illustration of the sister otk getting it on her panties.

But then came BBS which migrated into Internet. I met Kilahara on the Classics and he migrated first to Paddles and then to Bottom Lines, before LSF. I learned some English and even tried my hand at writing and followed him here.

During this lifetime from 1965' to 2015 I met through their books and stories so many outstanding authors that it's difficult to enumerate. Many of them are here. Some have passed away, but I thank them all.

Wow! First there were the paperbacks called "Continental Classics" where I caught some spanking and whipping scenes and then afterward was the mail order stuff. Of course first I recall Nu-West and Scarlett Hill as well as Steve Richadrson's compilations and contributions. I even wrote a story for Sassy Bottoms, I think but that may have been another brief entry into the publishing attempts by a man and wife whose names I can no longer recall. Of course there were others I also cannot recall.

Enter 1995 and those windows. Fledgling stuff, the web pages back then but as others, I found the spanking sites thanks in part to search engines and then, of course, dejanews took me to newsgroups easily. There I found ASS, SSS and several other offshoots. Strangely enough, SSS had bolted from ASS in order to moderate for excessive spam. Many of the ASS community never seemed to feel totally at ease with the new newsgroup and the flame wars (moderator wars) flared. Still, in the midst of the flames, writers continued to create as well as contribute and many from SSS are now here. Sadly, many have also passed on.

I am really surprised that I have not seen "Spirit" mentioned in this thread but he was a prolific writer and one I considered a fine gentleman as well as a good friend. He was lost to blackmail and/or "outing" as it was called then. "Outing" was almost a death sentence because one might never be heard from again if "outed".

I think that's quite enough for now but believe me when I say I could go on and on.

I started with Lauras spanking corner, and Spanking Internet network. One of my favourite early authors was Alex Herd.

My very favorite has to be Saradora, followed very closely by ruegirl, and it saddens me that they no longer appear to write. I am also a big fan of eve and Linda, but there are many more that I also enjoy.

I started reading about TTWD in the late 1960'eis 25 years before the www boomed. There were novels and some anthologies containing spanking. I also read Marquis de Sade, although I did not really enjoy it; while I found Pauline Réage's, Story of O, completely boring.

Although not fiction I have to mention Nancy Friday's, My Secret Garden, with a charter on spanking.

My favourite printed book is Jean-Pierre Enard's, The Art of Spanking, published in Danish in 1989. Terrific illustrated by Milo Manara.

Turning to internet. Like many I remember Laura's Spanking Corner. I did read many author on a couple of spanking sites (sss and the like). I don't remember names except our very missed Ross (Kilahara) whose stories did appeal very much to me. Thanks to him I joined BL 7-8 years ago and later LSF.

Do I remember right that I also read PhilK on some of these spanking sites with stories and discussions? I think so.

It is funny how familiar all of this is. Also you can see a clear line between the Internet generation and the pre-Internet Generation.

I used to peruse the Sci-fi section for all those alternative slave worlds and Sharon Green before I discovered Blue Moon Books and Martyn Pyx, Will Henry, Paul Little, Good Old fashioned Spanking Stories (GOFSS)... I think PC began to make that paperback world a little tame after a while. Not that that couldn't be a good thing - all those dark misogynist slaver books tend to wither the soul and were often badly written. But I do object to the mainstream books that only have very purely consensual CP in them and ram the consensual bit down your throat every other page.

Why can we have murder, torture etc as entertainment and not a little ambiguous spanking?

The Internet brought Laura's Spanking Corner and authors like Chuck Wilson and many others, some of whom ended up here.
