I should also add that if don't manage to get a minimum of 20 entries we'll abandon the challenge aspect and just load the submissions in the usual manner.

Why? What's wrong with a Challenge with only 20, or even a dozen entries. The first-ever Challenge had but 32 entries, and at the time I thought that was a LOT.

I agree with Rick. For me it's much easier to judge a favourite story out of 20 then out of 60. If I read too many stories in a short period of time I feel somehow oversaturated. It's like eating too much chocolate at one day: After the fourth bar it's not tasting as good as usual.

Disturbingly I find myself in complete agreement with Rick!! However I do think such an excellent Challenge deserves lots of entries. I shall even try and find time myself if I can get rid of this hideous cold and fit it into my extremely busy schedule. I do wish that attractive young nurse I hired would stop adjusting her stockings and suspender belt and come round and plump these pillows properly!!

I agree with others that a smaller number of entries will allow readers to have time to read and perhaps review sections before making a final vote.

We'll put this down to you having a cold, let's hope you're not going to make a habit of it.

How could anyone, even blimp (with or without a cold), find fault with my well-reasoned opinions?

And I, for one, take exception at management attempting to sow dissension among the ranks (especially when there's already so much spontaneous dissension around here)

Well I had to restart my story as the one I originally produced didn't quite fit with the challenge's theme. My new story is progressing slowly but surely. I suppose I should be glad that I don't have a Domme to spank me when I write too slowly! The male characters in our stories would have no such luck I'm sure.

Just a little reminder to myself and everyone else that there are two weeks to go before submissions are due. I'll look forwards to reading all the entries!

Can't understand why I'm only picking this up now - must be getting old. My stories have always been a mixture of M/f and F/m so I'll certainly be contributing.

Hello All!

This is a late request to remove the minimum 2500 word requirement from this Challenge. Really, think about it: How can an expectation of fewer stories be ameliorated by asking for them to be longer? We're talking about creative writing, not a school essay! Seriously, who wants padding, or unnecessarily convoluted expression?

Honestly, I'd suggest to revert to minimum 500 words for this one, and see what people come up with. It's ideas which drive stories, and also determine their mileage!

Best wishes RV

In the 'real world' 500 words would be considered a large paragraph rather than a story. I'm quite sure we have authors who are quite capable of writing 2,500 words without resorting to padding or convoluted expression. It also should be pointed out that these are 'challenges' and need to involve some form of challenge - a 500 word femdom story is hardly a challenge. So, all in all, I really don't understand your viewpoint at all. On top of which, changing the requirements of the challenge at the eleventh hour would make a mockery of the whole thing.
