F/M Story Challenge 2016

For my two pennyworth, i see voting by readers is how they wish to vote, if F/m is not the genre they favour then all the stories are going to be voted upon using that mindset, so that votes awarded would have consistency.

I must admit i value Flopsys and Guys views on what to possibly consider when voting.

I sincerely hope that no author would feel demotivated to continue writing at end of the voting period, each and every author has put in time, literary energy and effort to post in this challenge, i for one am grateful to each one of you.

F/M has never been my choice, Far from it. I have to say that ,in my old age you are starting to change my perspective. A pretty boy spanked by a beautiful woman would be nice.

Well, I just finished story number 38 and voted on every one. I did only manage a meager 17 comments though! Anyway, good job everyone. I think this has definitely been my favorite story story challenge the library has had while I've been visiting.

Well, my northern neighbor, there was actually another point beyond the obvious one I was making, that merely reversing names and pronouns might not work effectively in altering an M/F spanking account into an F/M entry to the current Challenge.

However, if there's also an adjustment made for clothing and anatomical differences between males and females, would that be enough in transforming an M/F story into an F/M one?

In most cases not necessarily, I'd venture, because the 'interpersonal dynamic' involved in an adult F/M corporally corrective situation is quite different from one involving a parallel M/F punishment; if the chastisement were to be described without any attitudes and emotions mentioned, i.e. purely describing the physical act of the spanking, then an M/F account could fairly easily be converted into an F/M one, but the story would be a 'bare bones' one without much (if any) psychological impact on the vast majority of readers, I'm figuring.

Of the Challenge stories I've read, voted on and commented upon at considerable length thus far, there is one that involves 'petticoating,' i.e. forced cross-dressing by a male, so your suggestion in that area was accepted by at least one entrant.

Concerning the discussion of awarding "10" ratings/votes on entries, I tend to agree that the story has to impact me quite strongly before I would give it a score of "10," but I will do so on occasion--for an F/M account, the basis for doing that tends to be simply if it makes me extremely envious of the masculine recipient of the feminine discipline...

Wonderful contest - most of the stories were a joy to read

As for the rating: I generally preferred to err on the generous side and ended up giving 7 points on average (with 15 stories being rated "9" or "10"), simply as a sign of appreciation for the authors' hard work, and simply because of the wonderful diversity: one story might be very funny and lighthearted, and another one poignant and psychological - this makes them very difficult to compare, and I would give both of them a "10" if I find them both well-written. (I leave it to the strict schoolmistresses and -masters to create the necessary differentiation.)

There were a few more amateurish ones, of course, but I only gave bad scores if the story contained some femdom cliches that I really dislike (the "crawl, you pathetic worm" kind).

Yes I have to agree my 'simplification' was perhaps a bit overdone, however we did end up with 38 stories in this Challenge. I remember reading the admins would shut this Challenge down if we did not reach at least 20, therefore one has to admit there was some concern as to the active participation for this Challenge right from the start.

My point was to show that writing and reading a F/M story can be as fun and as enjoyable (as you well know CK) for all writers, regardless of the preferred orientation of any writer. You and I have both written at least a few M/F stories and if you are like me, you got a kick out of writing them just like I did.

I agree writing an F/M story involves the same amount of work as any M/F story does, which means hard work, but this Challenge goes to prove a lot of writers are up to the Challenge. Regardless of whether I come in first or last in the overall standings, I believe this Challenge has served it purpose to an extraordinary high level. If I misled any writers into thinking they simply had to change names and pronouns I am sorry, however in reading all the submitted stories I do not believe that was done in any of them.
