Hearty congratulations to the top 3 winners in the Oops Story Challenge! Well done! And also to the runners up

The Challenges are fun. Thank you everyone for participating and voting. I'm sorry I didn't have time to get a challenge story of my own written this time round, but I promise to do better for the next one.

That just gave the rest of us a slightly better chance. Unfortunately, for some of us it wasn't nearly enough.

Seriously Flopsy, there is no excuse. (Oh, perhaps that little publishing project... )

Congratulations to the winners! It was a successful challenge with a bunch of great entries. I enjoyed reading every one of them.

Congrats to all the writers in the Challenge, I notice a few newer ones along with a lot of experienced writers and that is great to see. I would not have guess some of our new writers created the stories they did. The standards of writing here for the most part were higher then in other Challenges and I for one, found it hard to guess who wrote what except for maybe 2 stories.

Thanks goes out to all the admins who made this possible, the writers who worked hard at producing such excellent stories, the commentator's who made an effort to comment, many of them commenting on all the stories. Last but not least to the many viewers who perhaps only voted on a few stories, or commented on 1 or 2 stories, but took the time and made the effort to read and enjoy the stories, that readership is vital in maintaining this site as a great place to be.

And almost lastly a advanced thank you to the now over worked and under paid validator's who have 72 extra stories on their plates.

Congratulations to the winners and a big thank you to everyone who participated. These contests are always good for giving the literary muscles a good stretching. I look forward to the next one.

What a great contest - I didn't get to read all the stories - though the ones I didn't get around to I gave a default average vote to be fair - but of the ones I did read I thought most were excellent and would justify putting in an anthology. I'm constantly astonished at what might be considered a rather narrow theme with a few well-worn and obvious plot settings throwing up such inventive writing.

The challenge entries were of an exceptionally high standard this year so I am baffled to hear the average vote was 4!!!! Congratulations to the well deserving winners (many of whom were awarded high scores by me) and congratulations to all the entrants for their very imaginative contributions. I was disappointed that my entry didn't get many comments this time around. I probably won the duffer trophy for least commented story haha! Perhaps that was a divine sign that I SHOULD retire from writing. I have been suffering writers block for long enough so maybe I should listen to that inner voice which keeps nagging me to quit haha!

It was certainly fun to take part in, and yes, such a variety of imaginative entries. Difficult to choose a favourite, though I'd picked out one of the top three. So much a matter of taste, perhaps? Here's a smiley for all we participants and the organisers too!

It's always nice to hear from a new voice!

An astute observation - for everyone who might be looking at the list of winners and wondering why such-and-such story is be missing.
