I'm not surprised that she didn't recall overreacting to finding you were writing sex stories when you were young. Sometimes the things that had great impact on us as children were long ago forgotten by the adult involved. She probably filed it away with the memory of when you as a toddler discovered you had a pull toy between your legs, mixed in several awkward "he's popping wood again" moments in your adolescence, and let those memories fade.

And she's not the same person who did that 34 years ago. The world has changed greatly since the early 80s, and so have most of the people in it.

Wow, braver than me! Kudos and I am glad it had a happy ending for you. However, I once used the Secretary movie to start a conversation and discussed spankings as adults. In my case this was a spanked girl I knew from childhood and she made me feel like this was not normal. And, she had even admitted the spankings had done her good. I turned her over my knee and spanked her some on a date at my apartment. I thought she would react better. So, be careful my friends.

I have never come out to my family or friends regarding my spanking interest. Only my hub knows and he is willing to satisfy my preferences. But I've always been a writer for as long as I can remember; it is my strongest area. I had no problem with writing papers; while I was teaching I eventually completed two Master's Degrees.
When I found this site, I knew it was only a matter of time before I'd submit a piece of writing. I have been here for about 3-4 years and plan to continue to find time to sit down and read and continue to comment. I am always surprised by the variety of the stories and the interests of the group.
I celebrate your decision to "come out" to your mother. We should all be able to share our preferences with others and not be judged.

Congratulations. You are a very brave man, almost certainly braver than I.

I haven't told many people but my brother knows about it and has most of the same kinks as me anyway (these things come out when you've been drinking especially and mention women or men you like) and a few of my friends know also and have the same kink... but this is England after all.

Rik, that is awesome! I am also a nearly 50 year old closet spanko that is indeed a Christian, and the product of a very conservative Baptist minister. NO WAY am I coming out of the closet! LOL
My favorite place is over a knee and I fear getting too old for it! I was in a DD marriage before I ever knew what a DD marriage was, and though I didn't appreciate being punished, I'll admit they made for the most memorable spankings.
