My Wildcats won again, beating Wisconsin 74-73 on a 3 point shot by Aaron Harrison with 5.7 seconds to go. Congratulations to the badgers on making it to the final four and on a hard fought game. I also want to congratulate the Connecticut Huskies, who had a HUGE win over the number one ranked Florida Gators, and will face Kentucky for the championship tomorrow night. Congratulations are also deserved by a Florida team who finished with a school record 35 wins, 30 wins in a row, and a best ever 21-0 record against SEC opponents.
As far as I know, tomorrow night will be the first time a 7 seed (Connecticut) and an 8 seed (Kentucky) will play for the championship.

Hotspur, what sport is that? How do you score a wicket?

Hotspur, what sport is that?

It's the result of the World T20 Cricket tournament. An event that was fanatically followed by around a third of the world's population on all five continents. I'm sure this is of no interest whatsoever to you and your fellow contributors to this thread. I suspect that the majority of members on this British site have no interest in whatever sporting competition you're discussing here and thought that I should just mention something a little less parochial.

Well, my 'pups' are highly excited tonight, since the Huskies edged the Wildcats in the national championship game--now the "Big Dance" is over for another year... --C.K.

I had to look at the post to find out what March Madness is. No sports (not even sure which sport, basketball?) stories from me, sorry.

A world series involving teams from more than one country - what an amazing idea! (Personally I cannot stand cricket, but congratulations to Sri Lanka, the perpetual bridesmaids).
