Is it a "total pain to use" because there are too many excellent stories and too little time to read? Or maybe they were stumped by the wonderful features like audio recordings, content icons and stats.

"I cannot believe it!" To quote a great curmudgeon.
I'm certainly not a techie, and for me a web-site has to be east to use, need no particular technological knowledge and not crash-just like a car should be.
I find LSF extremely easy to use, and extremely stable.
Either they're using some weird and wonderful techie system or they're just jealous.
If I were you Februs I'd just ignore it and bask in the glory of your success, and be secure in the knowledge that unlike your football team you're not second best!

Sebastian:
I didn't think that the group still exists.

Likewise. I stopped visiting there when it seemed the non-spam, on-topic, activity had totally ground to a halt. To their credit, the sss moderators went to great technological lengths to fight the huge influx of spam from Google. Try as they might, they are no match against Google's apparent determination to kill off the Usenet.

I have nothing against that group, but the bottom line is that I stopped bothering to post stories there when I stopped hearing any response to them.

Okay, well it could be a total pain to use and here's why:

Some Wife logged on out of curiosity and read a few of the F/M stories. Some Husband logged on for the same reason and read some of the M/F stories. Guess what? They both decided to spank their spouses in the same manner as a few of the stories.

Now, I tell you. Is that NOT A PAIN TO USE?

This is THEE BEST site of it's kind on the Internet. There are times (and often) I miss the pain that used to come with the stories.

Pay no mind. I love this place, Febs....

I used to visit there, but it was before I ever started writing so I doubt that I ever published anything there. I was unaware that it still existed. But why in the world someone would complain this site isn't user friendly, I haven't a clue. Navigation here is simple and intuitive. And the more you poke around the more features that become apparent. The search features, the real time interactivity, the statistical data---it's all quite awesome.

The pain bit could just be a reference to the fact that it's deliberately difficult to rip-off/download stories at the LSF. For many, this is part of the charm of the site. Some authors don't mind their content being borrowed in this way, and have no such restrictions on content on their own sites/blogs - I'd put myself in that camp, although I'm not sure I'd be happy to find my stuff ripped onto profit-making sites.

Anyway, no complaints here about The Library, keep up the good work!

The "total pain" comment is incomprehensible unless (a) they're masochists or subs and mean it's enjoyable; or (b) the commenter just enjoys being witlessly mean about other people. which is not uncommon on the internet. (S)he is probably a troll in his/her spare time. This is however unfair to trolls, who are gentle, peace-loving creatures, which is why they stamp on humans.

Apparently the comment was made by someone who is either blind or has major visual impairment. The thing is, if he'd contacted me and explained whatever problem he's having, rather than simply bitching about the site, I'd have almost certainly spent time trying to find a solution. Then again, that particular newsgroup is best known for bitching and negativity, nor is it the first time the LSF has been rubbished by them, the last time being by the so-called "moderators" en masse. Ah well, no sleep lost ..
