I forgot to mention the name, "Marcus Van Heller." This was another pen name used during the Victorian era. I know, through research that I had to perform, many years ago, that this pen name was used by noted writers of non-erotic stories.

Wow! Daria Little stories are everywhere. Thanks to staff for pulling them out of their many places and putting them with in easy reach. Several that I hadn't heard of and so, so, so, many that I thought never to read again. Thanks again for all the hard work. I don't know how you guys do it.

Well I can't speak for the rest of the library staff but personally I consume my own body weight in Red Bull on a daily basis ....

Actually the author who used the name "Will Henry" was William Deere and he was responsible for all the Will Henry spanking stories as well as a bunch of spanking stories under other names. I, personally, think him the best of the preinternet spanking writers. Incidentally, the copyright to all of Deere's spanking stories is held by Steve Kurtz (Deere sold the rights to Jim Hanson of Notorious Collectibles) who resold them to Steve Kurtz (aka Kurt Stevens). To futher muddy the waters, there is a writer of westerns under the name "Will Henry" who is unrelated to Deere in any way, but has probably disappointed unknown numbers of spankos who looked up the name Will Henry in their library's card catalog.

It was a shame that I had thrown out many of his novels, as well as Mr. magazines. I recall the name, Kurt Stevens. I also recall your website, as well.

Steve,
You are correct about Deer. Many of his books were published and republished with copyright notices by people like Satan Press. Gargoyle, Red Stripe etc., so it's hard to tell where actual ownership was. Some were published without notice, a big problem prior to 1989. My guess is that those "publishers" (remember this was the 60's and these books were illegal porno then) paid Deer a small amount and slapped their own notice on the book. Others just did a reprint of an existing book and put their notice on it. I know Kurtz was selling these at pretty hefty prices, but now you can get them all in electronic format from Olympia press for $1 each.
I'd like to add one thing. The best spanking novel ever, in my opinion was a paperback called "Passions of a Satyr" by (i think) "Frank Doyle". Don't know who this was, but it was not Deer or Little. Olympia does not have it yet. If anyone finds it, speak up.

I did a search and found PASSIONS OF A SATYR by Frank Doyle - Frank Doyle GK 57 (1972) at http://vintagesleaze.com/vs%20themes-catalogs-drugs.html . The quote is "Sassy pot-puffing teen wants all the punishment she can get" - and the price is (ouch) $45. Based on that page, I'd say that "Frank Doyle" is another name for Paul Little.

http://vintagesleaze.com/vs%20books.html - looks like a treasure trove of information on writers, including http://www.vintagesleaze.com/vs%20authors-catalogs-little.html - a Paul Little write up that explains how he was "Kenneth Harding, A. De Granamour, Dr. Guenter Klow, Dr. Gerda Mundinger, Sylvia Sharon, Paula Little, Paula Minton, Hugo Paul, Myron Kosloff, Jon Parker (?), Olga Rich, Larry Preston, Lana Preston (?), to name but a few."

Hope this helps

I agree that Passions of a Satyr is a great spanking book. However, based upon having read it a number of times, I would put up money that it was not written by Paul Little. A bonus for those interested in Little's guises is that he wrote a series of more or less main stream civil war romances under the name Marie De Jourlet. They were less spankocentric than most of his work, but nonetheless managed to include a respectable number of spankings and spanking references.
