ah, but that's why it's called a CHALLENGE. There are hundreds of Chrismas stories (plus song, poems and serials) here. Knowing only a couple I was going to list going in, I rounded out my half dozen (7 actually) by reading maybe 20. Given the small number already mentioned thus far by Glagla, me and the self-plugged, there have to be easily a couple dozen more gems out there, but it may take a little time to do some reading in order to find then. The whole purpose of the challenge was to get people reading holiday stories - you know, to get in the holiday spirit. I'd be insulted by your comment about there being a shortage of quality stories if I were one of those authors (come to think of it, I AM one of those authors, but don't worry - I forgive you)

A bit off-topic, perhaps, but this Challenge has got me wondering how the sub-genres in the Search page were chosen. For example, there's a Christmas sub-genre, but no Hallowe'en or Valentine's Day (and I know I've read more than one Hallowe'en-themed story...). Similarly, there's a sub-genre for school stories, but not office or hospital ones. Any ideas why?

@myrkassi
Maybe something to do with the underlying order of the universe?

Ah well, here's the thing... if someone has a spare six months (or even six years if you're a slow reader) to read through 28,816 (at the last count) stories on this site and identify those related to a Halloween theme, then we might consider adding that category if there is enough material to justify the setting up of a new category.
It's very kind of you to volunteer all your free time to do this for us, myrkassi. Welcome to the club!
And if I've interpreted that incorrectly, you can just browse the Supernatural category, where I'm sure you'll find many a Halloween tale...

Well, I do like the idea and if more people are up to it, we could give it a go, at least get it started. I've been missing that Halloween tag as well. If you search "Halloween", or stories published in October each year, you're bound to catch a load of them. Together with the supernatural tag and just reading the preview to the left, I think the area coverage would be quite satisfying. It will of course be difficult to catch them all, but it's a start at least.

@Glagla
If this is a team effort, I'll volunteer to head up the search for the Arbor Day category of stories. I figure I can search stories loaded in April that feature birching.

My Christmas Six

Winter Wonderland by Phil K.

This is a feel good amazing holiday song. It always brings a smile to us every time we play it.

The Twelve Days Of Christmas by Dr. Keate

I chose this creative poem because it a real gem. It takes the original holiday version and converts it into a spanking lover's paradise.

A TV Land Christmas by Carolina Jim (F-f)
A mom gives her grown daughter a spanking with a hairbrush and it is overheard by the holiday party attendees. The young woman than mingles with their guest at the party all the time with a red-hot sore bottom under her festive dress. A favorite fantasy for me and I' am sure for others.

A Reformatory Christmas Story-Part 1 by imreadonly2 (M-F)
If you have ever read any of the Blue Moon Books which feature reformatory schools and plenty of old fashioned discipline you will this story an exciting read. This is a place where holiday traditions are upheld and that's bad for some bums.

Christmas Across The County Line by Goodgulf (F-F)
It's a story about a girl who comes home for Christmas and gets spanked. After her corporal punishment Clare becomes consumed with plotting the spanking of her brother.

The Elf's Dress by Cherry Red (f-F)
This is one of mine. It is a role-reversal where the teacher gets spanked by the student, only it doesn't happen at school. To find out where it does happen and why, read the story.

In response to njrick, there is absolutely no way that I am going to read hundreds of stories just for a challenge! Life is to short, especially at my age.

However there is one Xmas story of good quality (and to my taste) which I can recall.
That is because I have only just read it - LOL !

It is a 4 - part serial by Jack Crawford titles Santa's Spanker. Unusually it is a contemporary non-fantasy piece of high quality with wonderful background story, descriptions etc all the way through unitl a (to me) slightly disappointing wrap-up.

Well, I'd see it the completely opposite way. If life is short, I'd make certain to get as much pleasure out of it as possible before I go, i.e. read as many challenge entries as possible
