Although ignoring one is no excuse, unless you are down as a relative, partner or next of kin then under patient confidentiality rules nobody will or should discuss anything, other than bland statements that shs ie stable or comfortable etc.
My experiences with a top hospital in the NHS have been amazing- including heart surgery and a single room just along from where Prince Philip would have been treated.
If the hospital has a PALS service-first port of call for complaints you should contact them

Hope she is getting better and that there are no serious complications.

Sorry to hear Flopsy is unwell again, and hope for a super speedy recovery. As for the diagnosis re the hospital unit & Cosultant's Secretary, I fear this condition is likely to be Long Term!
I would wager a fantastically long list of applicants should a Secretarial position arise, with working hours like those and the average salary paid to these post holders who would'nt want a skive...Sorry Occupation like that. Chin up Febs, at least the consultant is likely to be capable, caring and committed.
As mentioned earlier the medical care far surpasses the the "People Skills" in the NHS.

Hi Februs, hope Flopsy is back to her bouncy self soon and hope you have now managed to get some helpful answers from the NHS (your public hospital system sounds as bad and disjointed as ours). I would have posted my well wishes sooner but I have been without a computer. Please pass on my love and well wishes to Flopsy for a speedy recovery to good health. Love and hugs, Jools xx
