I remember watching Torquay play Tottenham in the FA cup in the mid 60's just after the New Year. Tottenham walked all over us until the last five minutes when we scored two goals!! Happy days! You had a bloke called Jimmy Greaves playing for you!

Never liked Stamford Bridge as it was full of hooligans and you need binoculars as you are so far away.

It was an article about Jimmy Greaves in a Norwegian newspaper that made me a Tottenham supporter in the first place — a sentimental piece about him being sent off by an incompetent referee after having been fouled maliciously by sly defenders all through the match. It didn't know that that was the beginning of fifty years of misery....

Well, my sons didn't think Tottenham was bad enough, and turned to Burnley instead. One of them even had a short (but not very sweet) romance with Yeovil....

And I always thought supporting Southampton was masochistic, but compared to Torquay Utd its as a gentle slap to a six of the very best caning!
