RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Virginia Beach man is facing charges after three young women who agreed to be spanked in exchange for money say he took it too far.

Fifty-four-year-old Henry Allen Fitzsimmons agreed to provide college tuition and a $200 weekly allowance to the women as part of the so-called Spencer Scholarship Plan. In return, the women agreed to be spanked if they violated certain rules, such as failing to call Fitzsimmons or drinking alcohol.

A judge on Thursday allowed a grand jury to decide whether to indict Fitzsimmons on two felony abduction charges and three felony object sexual penetration charges.

Six other assault and sexual battery charges were dropped because the women had agreed to the spankings.

Fitzsimmons' attorney says the bar and restaurant owner did not commit a crime.

Ah, the dangers of attempting to turn fantasy into reality. Not too bright, in my estimation.

Sounds to me like a lot more then spanking was going on if the indictment included the above charges that have little to do with spanking. Like NJ said, "not too bright" is right on the money.

You know , most of us have had our interest piqued by these type of stories and always wonder about their authenticity ( whether it matters or not as they usually make for good reading anyway ) but this one is a little hard to believe

It almost sounds like he was building his own little cult.

In my opinion, if a woman is judged to be naughty she should be spanked. And every law court, should see that corporal punishment is meted out to her.

Ah - another case of confusing fantasy with reality.

This case brings to mind a number of similar circumstances, the lawyer (also in VA I believe) who spanked his clients to get them prepared for court appearances, the spanking IRS man of the 80's who "auditioned" a number of young women for roles in his propos into psychosexual effects of spanking. They all have in common that they went on without a hitch, sometimes for quite a while, until the checks bounced, or something similar, one of the spankees in this latest case caught stealing by the man involved, leading one to marvel at the number of women who apparently are willing to participate in these events (notice that whatever else they are, these are not the "won't it be fun to get together and spank" events, such as the Shadow Lane parties, which many of us participate in when we can), and this leads to the interesting speculation of what other such schemes may be going on at any point of time with the central figure not bouncing checks, having a participant arrested for stealing or something similar.
