I must confess, that I did once, about ten years ago, spank my PA (much younger and much more attractive than me). As she had just given me a half-hour personal demonstration of her pole dancing skills, naked, I guess it was OK for me to assume it was consensual. I didn't ask.

Given the circumstances, I have no idea why you should think it was consensual.

JennyTNow, there's an idea for a new social media platform, given that Zuckerberg has gone all meta, Buttbook, although it may need to be translated for us limeys across the pond who have bottoms.

By Jove I've got it, Buttbook and Bumbook.
For those who are connoisseurs of the spanking arts.

Sorry, but my Texas twang ruins the effect when attempting an English Accent.

The translation seems just fine, could even understand it through the Texas twang. Bumbook would be just right, we certainly all have bums over here.

As a manager at a local business year back I had a female employee, probably in her mid-twenties, that I told repeatedly that she had to wear her seatbelt whenever she drove in a company car. Not only was it the law, but she jeopardized the company if she got injured. To make it a very short story she called me one afternoon and said that she was in a car accident and could I pick her up. When I did, I noticed a very visible bruise on her forehead, and she explained her head hit the windshield. I'm slow, but it eventually hit me that hitting the windshield was impossible while wearing a seatbelt.

I sent her home and stewed about it for a day and decided to confront her. Did you have on your seatbelt? No! I never do!

Why did you lie to me when I asked you all those times before.? To get you off my back!

Later that day, I caught her totally bent at the waist, and I wound up and gave her a smack on her skirt covered backside so hard that my whole arm ached. I'm sure her grandchildren felt that smack. I told her ; "Don't ever lie to me again!"

I'm sure she could have had me fired or sued. At least today she could. But that was years ago. Things were different back then. All she did was kind of smile and offer a quiet "sorry!". Case closed!

Back then we gave birthday spankings, across the knee to almost a dozen different female coworkers. Lawsuits would abound today! They would own that workplace and we males would be making burgers at some local dine and drive joint, once we got out of jail for sexual battery. I think things are getting better for women these days, at least I do hope so, but, sometimes, I miss the old days!

Many years ago, in my first real job, there was a pay scale progression after six to nine months for junior staff. Provided your work was good enough it was automatic that you would progress. My work was generally very good but one day I submitted a really shoddy report, which I regretted handing in but it was already late, and too late to retrieve it.

A couple of days later, my manager called me in. He was an old public school type, with attitudes to match, especially towards women. He asked me what would have happened if I had handed in work of that calibre in school. I admitted that I might well have got poor marks for it, but he wasn't satisfied with the answer, and suggested that more likely the teacher would have slippered me for it.

The upshot was that my progression through the grades and ranks would be halted unless I accepted a spanking from him. I refused but then watched as the months went by and there was no increase in my pay packet. It was clear I had to submit to his demand or just stay on my lowly grade. I had almost got to the point where I either left with a poor reference, or I let him spank me. Over that weekend I had decided on the latter and put on an extra pair of knickers for the Monday morning.

When I got to the office, he had gone, never to be seen again, and his replacement immediately moved me up the grade with a bit of back pay. What happened, I have no idea, but I was mighty relieved.

Hopefully someone offered him a choice: "you can resign, or be prosecuted."

Sadly, those were the days when the infamous 'blind eye' prevailed, and the old boys network ensured that complaints were self-destructive.

It could have been worse. There were other departments where you had to sleep with your boss to get on.

Happily, fifty years on, things have changed. They are not perfect, and successful prosecutions are still rare, but women now have a much better chance, without having to humiliate themselves.

I remember those days, and I'm glad to see women finally being able to tell their stories and have them believed then acted on.

I wonder if your former boss tried that line with someone who was able to stand up to him and got him let go.

Things do change and I hope they continue to improve.

It would have had to be someone more senior than us, if that was the case. But, in reality the old boy network would most likely have moved him to a position in another section, on a different site, so he could start again with another group of new recruits.

It was very unnerving at the time. I worried that I was going to come up against someone else like him, and it might have been a promotion or a big pay increase which I would lose out on. From what I heard I think I was very lucky, a lot of the younger staff were faced with difficult choices.

I got lots of propositions but as I became more senior it became easier to brush them off, and a romp in the store cupboard during the Christmas party didn't really appeal.

I don't think things will ever be perfect, but we have come a long way.
