It was at least ten years ago and probably more that I saw a documentary on TV about some anthropologists who were studying a very large number of human civilizations ranging from the present to prehistoric. What they were trying to understand is whether there was consistency among these wide-ranging civilizations over what was depicted as sexually attractive in both images and sculptures.

Before they began, they just assumed that the only thing "consistant" from one civilization to the next would be large breasts in the statues and images of females. To the surprise of everyone, that is NOT what they found.

Instead, what they found universal is the hour glass figure! So in trying to understand this, they analyzed the hour glass figure to find out what it signifies, if anything. What they learned is that women with this shape tended to have larger pelvic bones. This naturally leads to the question why would large pelvic bones be considered sexually attractive? That's when people who specialize in anatomy pointed out that large pelvic bones, have a larger opening allowing a baby's heat to pass easier. Thus these females tend to be good baby making machines!

Anthropologists jumped back in and speculated that possibly males come "pre-programed" or "pre-wired" to seek out this shape. That is, in spite of all of our sophisticated desires and the refining of our tastes, in the end we are driven by something far, far simpler and far more primitive... the survival of the species!

I agree that it is very much the entire package that is the attraction, character, voice and body. but there is nothing more attractive than a beautifully curved bottom.

This thread reminds me of an incident way back in the last millennium when I was aged about six or seven. One of my friends asked me which part of a girl me and another friend liked best: the dairy, the lemonade factory or the chocolate factory, using one of his sister's dolls to make it clear what he was referring to. I opted for the chocolate factory (preferably when it was not producing chocolate), but the lemonade factory and the dairy received one vote each. Hardly a scientific survey, but I wonder if asking LSF readers may be creating a sample bias in favour of butts. For the record, opb's post on page 3 says it all for me.

I consider myself to be a bottom fancier first although I do say I am spanko in the next breath. That being said I do have a certain body type that appeals more to me and like uksteve said there are whole packages that I find fantastic as well. I love a pretty face and her smile will win me over, but I'm afraid that I lech at bottoms. Spotted a couple whilst out shopping with OH yesterday, both in Jeggings, are they called? So tight you could see whether they'd shaved or not, but the view from the back I could have watched all day and imagined them draped over my lap!

If I'm facing her front this is definitely true for me, especially if the woman has a 'twinkling' in her eyes, i.e. their pupils are dilated, meaning that she's glad to see me.

If I'm experiencing a 'rear view,' I can't help focusing on a female's posterior, if it's at all attractive. To me, a womanly derriere has been designed by the Sacred Feminine to be smacked (mildly if she's 'vanilla' in terms of the spanking kink), along with playfully patted, pinched, squeezed and especially kissed (literally rather than figuratively) quite sweetly.

Since I'm a married man, there's only one beautiful bottom, a rather 'reubenesque' one , which I can do these things to in reality, as opposed to fantasy, and I certainly enjoy doing them.

In return, I expect my darling wife's occasional attention to my own behind to generally be much more strenuous, smartly stinging in fact... --C.K.

I'm interpreting the OP as asking about body parts in the most shallow, objectifying sense.

With that in mind, butts are my favorite area on women. It's kind of ironic, because growing up, I was super self-conscious about my own.

With men, the chest is my favorite area.

Of course, all other ways are strictly prohibited here.
