Peter Cushing is definitely in the first Star Wars film. I've never seen him in a spanking film though.
But I think he would have made a good headmaster with a cane.

One film of his I particularly like is called "Cash on Demand". It has a certain similarity to Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". Cushing plays the part of an up-tight bank manager who has a very low opinion of his staff. When he is targeted in a very ruthless bank robbery attempt, he is forced to re-evaluate his whole attitude to life.

Peter Cushing was well known for appearing in horror movies. He played the part of Dr. Van Helsing in the 1958 movie, Dracula in which Christopher lee played the title role for the first time.
