It has been a long time since we have had challenges here. I know that I am partly responsible as my suggesting a rule change was the final straw for the management; no more challenges.

I am presently working on a story which relates to COVID-19. I think that it would be a good topic for a writing challenge. Everyone, lets see what we can do with that topic.

I propose an "exhibition" not a "contest." Everyone who reads and /or writes a story is a winner. No losers.

I've already written one, and sent it in - it should appear soon. It's called 'Alone Time'

I've written three so far. Two should be posted soon. The third will be published in an upcoming anthology of stepmother stories.

Amusingly enough I started working on just such a story today before I read this 'not-a-challenge.' Nice idea Teresa; if we're all stuck at home we might as well find a productive use of our time...

Yes, I also have one in the queue awaiting publication.
Given the current backlog I suggest its best to just let them take their turn rather than starting a new list.

It'll be interesting to see how we each use the virus, and it's effects on everyday life, in our stories. I'm just about to read Grace Brackenridge's story on the topic.

Hmmmm, I have only been able to work a death into TWO of my spanking stories and one was the result of a challenge. This one has real potential to up that tally to three. I even have an idea for it, but unfortunately haven't been in a fiction-writing frame of mind. But if I don't get around to writing up my idea I am curious as to how others work all sorts of tragic outcomes into their pieces. The regular 'business as usual' spanking stories get predictable after a while.
