Death of a spanking site

This morning on the "Consentual Spanking" site the moderator Red announced he was ending it. It was a funny, informative site that will be missed.

The problem for free spanking sites and blogs is that they have run out of road. The discussions on spanking have all been had, the classic images have all been published and any new videos are under copyright.

It is the same for many specialist sites and blogs, the boom is over. The only sites that have a future are such things as sports fan sites where there is a team to follow and new stuff to publish every week.

I liked Consensual Spanking, but it became repetitive and started publishing stuff that was not spanking related. Sad but true.

I am going to simultaneously agree with our French friend Brosse6.

Consensual Spanking did indeed become repetitive. Which is why I opened it less and less as time went on.

But I disagree that the free spanking sites have run out of road. There are always new pictures to be seen, from all over the world. For example, I am teaching myself to read French from the picture captions and stories on the French spanking sites.

We spankijng enthusiasts have the greatest group of writers the world has ever seen. New stories are constantly being written and published, every day.

Topics? Every new member has a potential new point-of-view, evenon the classic topics. The fascinating topic of consent will never be exhausted, simply because we have not, and will never, have finished discussing every possible situation and combination. Another topic, one that I feel has been underused, is the existence of double standards between men and women.

And these are just two, of the thousands of potential issues that we may discuss and debate.

FrSpanko and AgathePunie both have new content.

But they are also padding their sites out with stuff that actually has little, if anything, to do with spanking, just like Consensual Spanking and others do.

I also disagree that free spanking sites have run out of road, and I didn't get the impression this is the reason for consensual spanking ending. I run two free sites myself with assistance, and we cater for a very different audience to consensual spanking in that we only accept fictional stories that are realistic in their nature, even if the basic scenario isn't. For example, judicial punishments are very popular even though such things do not happen in the UK. We use the free sites to help with sales of ebooks, plain and simple, and to do that we need to keep visitor figures as high as possible. I didn't see anything on consensual spanking that we would accept, and so I think they had a rather limited, although very enthusiastic, audience.

It is quite hard work running a website that needs constant updating. Could it be the people running consensual spanking just want a rest?

Not familiar with that site but I do know that over the past 10 years or so, all too many of my favorites are no more, like Spanking Classics and World Spanking Forum. Or the old SIN board. Little left but blogs or video sites.
And so many others inactive.
