For me the cane is my favourite. So many sizes to choose from and that nice swish as it is delivered.
Second would be the hand over a lady's knees.

To receive I like a hand best. There's just something very intimate about being over someone's knee, feeling their palm on you. I'm not averse to a few other implements like a belt or a wooden ruler. I'm not keen on modernity so when someone once suggested a plastic ruler I was put off. I'm also not keen on anything more unusual. Someone once whipped me with a kettle flex and, while it left some interesting marks, I just didn't think it was correct.

My interests in fantasy and reality are somewhat distinct. In reality, I like handspanking, the slipper, a broad flexible strap and a medium thickness cane. In stories, I tend towards just handspanking and slippering.

I have often wondered what percentage of the sales of Mason Pearson and Kent traditional oval wooden hairbrushes are bought exclusively as spanking weapons and never get used for hair?
It wouldn't surprise me if the percentage was high?
They are so expensive and many people actually prefer narrow or round brushes for their hair, which are not good spanking tools.

I asked for a Mason Pearson hairbrush for Christmas when I was about 12. Asked why that particular one. Erm, I've heard it's a really good hairbrush.
My mother told me she had to go to an old fashioned independent chemist shop to find it and they got it out of a locked cabinet.

So many go on about hairbrushes, for me its a good rubber soled slipper or plimsoll, not a US style sneaker but what was called a gym slipper at school.
And while Mason Pearson may have a cachet just type vintage wooden clothes brush in Ebay search engine and you'll get as much discomfort as you want for under a tenner!

Just had a look on Ebay - some of the wooden hairbrushes on there are described as offering 'pneumatic massage' -could that be a coded reference to a use other than brushing hair? I'd like to think so!

I have always been fascinated by the birch, probably because it is the traditional Scandinavian implement. I don't think it was much in use when I was a kid, but it still loomed in the background as the "ultimate punishment". It helps that the generic term for spanking in Norwegian is "ris" from the last part of "bjerkeris" (birch rod).

Do you not regularly go in saunas, then roll in snow, then birch each other?
