The puddling's was a typo on my part, should have read paddling's, blame fat fingers and poor proof reading.

Guess I'll be the odd man out and say the paddle! I'm not exactly sure why either. I can easily name what I like about the cane, but something about the paddle just seems so much more satisfying (to me anyway). Guess that's pretty strange, but hey. I'm pretty fond of the strap as well.

Yeah, I knew that but I couldn't help mentioning it after the mental picture I got of "puddling."

It's the bath brush for me simply because it's the most severe implement that you can commonly find in a household and that can be used in the over the knees position that I can think of. Similarly I'm a fan of the hairbrush or the wooden spoon if they are large and thick enough.

"Puddling" is actually the name for a very old-fashioned technique for producing malleable wrought iron. It was used before the modern Bessemer converter and other modern technologies for producing steel were invented during the 19th century.

There is something about a hairbrush's intimacy otk and savagery over a chair that always rings my bells. Before my current, permanent relationship I used to have a thing where I required my subs to carry the only used for one thing hairbrush in their purse at all times. Very sexy. For a about a year, then meh. Still, I keep them throughout the house. Fun is fun.

Thanks, nice information to know. I guess in the current discussion a "puddling" with a paddle would result in a very malleable recipient by the time the spanker was through.

I tend to prefer flexible things. A slapper, old belt, a thin strap, or narrow leather paddle. Hard implements such as hairbrushes, wooden paddles, and bath brushes don't have any give to them and can cause unintended bruises. Even a rattan cane used by an experienced person can be done "just right" by an experienced user.

Without doubt the school paddle because it is easy to use and very effective.

The OTK hairbrush is a great fantasy scenario but really only works well if the spanker is distinctly bigger than the spankee.
