So, what are your favorite implements of corporal punishment. What do you like to read about, see used, use on someone else, or have used on yourself. For me, it goes back to my schooldays, when misbehaving students would be paddled. I hated to be paddled personally, but found others puddling's fascinating. @a and 2b would be a hand spanking or sturdy hairbrush.

I am fascinated by the birch rod. When I use the search function here on LSF I almost always do a search on "the birch rod" as the implement and on "the female" as the spankee. My second favourite implement is the cane.

I suppose that I am fond of the typically "English" instruments of discipline, the ones which were most famously in use during the Victorian era.

I do not "go" so much for depictions of paddlings. I am turned off by the bruising of the culpritĀ“s buttocks.

It is the cane for me.

I really like it when the author shows (s)he understands that there are a variety of different canes, each producing their own marks and sensations. Even better if there is an appreciation that good caning technique relies on wrist action and not brute force. Perfection if the description tends towards poetry in motion rather that barbarism.

I've tended to prefer the cane or a small rod. They are discreet in that they do not make the noise of a paddle and may be fit into my handbag. I also like a small martinet. While it has added impact because the several tails all strike, the looming possibility that it might strike lower and the tails snap between the legs increases the fear as well as embarrassment.

The hand, (#1), or a bedroom slipper.

I "like" the hand most because it's the most intimate. To me the most frightening / powerful / painful are the cane and the tawse. The hairbrush and the razor strap have major significance. When getting spanked with those there is no "favorite" about them whatsoever!

My hand or a thin paddle or hairbrush for giving. Receiving pretty much the same thing as long as it's a good spanking. "It's the technique, not the toy."

Agree with sj and eric. The palm has to be the most intimate and my favorite. Liked your comment jen no "favorite". And to Eric, " technique" not toy. Regards.

Is that being turned into a puddle of tears from being paddled? Don't know if that was intentional but it seems like a highly descriptive word choice.

Personally, I spent several years in English schools long ago. We had a particularly frightening math master who indiscriminately caned both boys and girls for trivial (or non-existent) offenses, so the cane has never had much appeal to me as an author, reader, or viewer.

I find the martinet fascinating, simply because of its design, and have tried to write a few martinet stories since it seems to be underrepresented on this site. The same holds true with the tawse; you wonder who had the bright idea to slice leather up to get multiple stripes out of a single swing.

My grandmother was a proponent of the switch as an attitude adjuster; thankfully she never got the idea for a birch like seems popular in Scandinavia.
