Fraternities and Sororities and spanking

I never joined a fraternity. The best I ever heard a guy describe a frat was that he thought of it as a "rent a friend" group. I knew of some hazing that went on at my school, but I don't believe it reached the ridiculous and dangerous levels I've read about. What people need to realize is that even good natured fun can get out of hand very quickly, and the part of the human brain that makes judgement decisions is the last part to fully develop. That can be a recipe for disaster with young college students away from home for the first time.

If anyone is still interested in this tread I can provide a little personal information from the 1960s. Paddling in school was still common then but I had no personal experience with that. But that might give you a little perspective on what happened with clubs, fraternities and sororities.

I know for a fact that male high school clubs (they were not allowed to call themselves "fraternities") hazed in many ways including paddling. In one case a friend described what had happened to him and other initiates. The were stripped, paddled and had their mouths washed out with harsh soap. They also had hot sauce put on their private parts.

In my own case, a club I belonged to paddled the initiates (over clothing) in front of the club "sweethearts" (the only girls allowed at our meetings.) The guys got one swat from each of the 20+ members present and the girls were invited to participate. One girl actually came forward and pressed the paddle against one of the pledge's backsides but then chickened out. We were also paddled at weekly pledge meetings.

Perhaps even more interesting was my experience with a high school honor society. Even though it was a coed honor society the initiation included being paddled. It was just one swat and over clothes but for a spanko (just admitting it myself at that time) it was a memorable experience.

Oh, I'm guessing that the majority of spankophiles simply enjoy fantasizing about fraternity and sorority paddlings, at least within the spanking gender combinations which they find appealing.

Hazing strikes me as merely an institutionalized form of mass bullying, whether it involves physical discomfort, psychological pressure or both.

Obviously, I never pledged a fraternity during my college years...

I was a participant in division 1 swimming, and what hazing there was on our team was pretty good natured. All the new participants ended up blindfolded (swim goggles stuffed with t paper) and watercolor paints were dumped over heads and down speedos (in the shower). I remember one of my team mates cursing when the paint was dumped down his speedo, and later found out he dropped his suit to wash it out (still wearing his blindfold). Too bad he didnt realize the women's team had come over to watch. He caught on when he started hearing some high pitched giggles all around him.

I notice that although the thread is about Fraternities and Sororities all the replies are from men.

Some accounts about what went on in Sororities would be interesting ... at least to us men !

Very glad to reflect, reading all these accounts, that fraternities, sororities and the like are unknown at UK universities. Or at least as far as I know - I certainly never came across any such moronic institutions during my years at uni.

As a possible source for spanking stories, of course, they have definite potential...

I thought I would take a moment to share my own sorority story.

Sorority Paddles: The bottom line is at least in the early 1970's sorority paddling's did occur only unlike before they were never carried out at the chapter house or for the mater anywhere on campus.

Various sorority paddling's of varying severity depending on the infraction were saved up and given out.

Plus, the pillow-paddle ceremony at that time had a real practical purpose for the overstuffed satin decorated pillow. Friday night classes are a 'bear,' but since attendance is taken "C" was there. We knew it was hell week and initiation was going on at the Ramada. 'C' winced before she sat down in her chair at the table next to me. She whispered in my ear how she dearly wished she had her comfy pillow made by her big sister.

The little sister whom I was dating had made and presented the paddle she had made for he big sister that night. 'C' was a ballet dancer who had a matinee performance the following day. At our French dinner date that night she shared that her curtsy after her performance had hurt her butt when it had scraped across her back-cheeks and awoke the paddle strokes. I had seen the pain in her face from the front row. I have been a fan of the curtsy and have incorporated it into some of my stories.

'C' later said over a wine cooler that her butt basically matched school colors by the next morning. Our collegiate colors are purple and gold. I never saw it, but I imagined her cute butt had purple and brown-yellow/gold bruises from the paddling at the Ramada. I know she said it burned and bothered her at the French Restaurant as we celebrated her stand up performance.. By the time she did let me pull down her panties she was the one wielding the paddle.

I believe there was a fraternity spanking group somewhere in CA. It wasn't a real fraternity, I guess they just acted out fantasized fraternity spanking scenes.

There are definitely still a lot of sororities and fraternities that haze and paddle. It's been pushed into deep secrecy, but there are modern interviews and vids on Youtube with a lot of ladies talking very frankly and candidly about "being able to take the wood." They don't build it up or say it in a salacious way, but you can tell that it's just part of their coded language and behavior because of all the surrounding information.
