Still a lot of adult stuff in Yahoo groups, but most groups inactive, have been for years, and taken over by spammers, particularly the photos and files sections.
Yes, I am still part of dozens of groups, only one or two of which are still active. But the big purge I spoke of was of the Role Play groups. You might remember the type - people posting about how they had spanked half the kids in their neighbourhood, delivered bare bottom public strappings at school with all the teachers applauding them, did birchings in the backyard, and otherwise role played as if they were living in an unbelievable spanking story. One of the groups I can vaguely recall was for Victorian Parents - people living in the late 1800s who posted to the group about a land where caning and birching happened at the drop of a hat. Another I can vaguely recall took place in a world where practically anyone could spank any girl in her teens or early 20s.
Then over a few months practically every RP group I knew that didn't involve stories about only explicitly consenting adult vanished for running afoul of the Yahoo Terms of Services.
The voy forums look to be the same sort of thing. One of the few posts I clicked on involved a woman taking her two boys to a yard sale and being seduced by a heavy wooden hairbrush - with the women running the yard sale looking at the boys and instinctively knowing why the poster was buying it - with the poster now waiting for a reason (because fair people never spank without a reason) to use it on a pair of bare bums. That was one of the longer posts I read - most being only a paragraph or two long - but all of them seemed to be from people playing a game of "let's pretend".
Alas, given the current climate, the only way I would think of playing that sort of game on a public forum would involve posting a "this is only pretend" disclaimer on each post, which would destroy the willing suspension of disbelief.
