Good spanking scenes are hard to write. Have even written several stories in German. Do not go too much into detail and describe only 1-2 strokes per instrument. "Smack, Smack" is too easy for me.

RosieRad:
Padraig:
The cynic in me makes me wonder if the use of smack, smack, smack, at every smack, is a way of increasing the word count?

Generally speaking, there's no incentive to increase the word count, so I doubt it.

Like RosieRad, my challenge is to keep my word counts down, so there is no incentive to pad a story.

Padraig:
smack, smack, smack,

In my book, "smack, smack, smack" is onomatopoeia, not cliche. In general, unless I'm specifically describing a sound to the reader, it has no place in my own writing. As a reader, I tend to roll my eyes and then skim over it.

I think the so called clichés are rather important to make many of the spanking stories work. I mean, those phrases can't be copyrighted to the first one that has upped a story containing them. In many instances I feel that the clichés are adding to the story as they add to the humiliation of the spankee. The words are not serious, but rather meant to establish that the spanker has a superior position. So yes, I frequently use clichés when I think it's called for.

Seegee:
'Please, may I have another, sir.'

I really like this one and I use it to humiliate spankees who needs to be taken down a few steps. The fact that the spankee knows that it's a stupid cliché just makes it so more effective as they are forced to degrade themselves by saying that phrase.

I've used variations (most of my spankers are female) on it in a few stories, and yes it is generally used to embarrass the spankee further.

It's a hard call, because what turns one of us on annoys another. Most of my spankers are also female and I feel women have a fine sense of what will embarrass the one being spanked the most, especially if it is another woman. So everything connected with pulling down knickers or panties becomes very exciting, even if it may often seem cliched.

Very true and will always be the case but I am not averse to certain cliches providing they are not overdone or illogical as in " this is going to hurt me more than it does you ", total nonsense.
I enjoy reading F/m spanking fiction and some phrases, or maybe just one particular word even, can really push my buttons especially when they`re being used by an adult female spanker when talking to a younger male spankee as it can convey her authority over him.
