Maybe not everyone is aware that the library has a facility to submit a Validation Error Report (by clicking on the tick in the far RH column on, for example, the 'Latest Loaded' list.) It's the perfect way to get a typo corrected without embarrassing the poor author!

I may be wrong, but wouldn't this be a misuse of the Validation Error Report? There are so many typos that the poor admins would be snowed under. I have only used this facility when there was an actual error in the validation of the story, such as listing the wrong gender, age, or implement. Flopsy, maybe you could shed some light?

It has just been pointed out to me (by several people ) that i made a huge typo error on my challenge story. I find this quite amusing, given that it is currently being discussed on the forum by us all.

I put pheasant when i meant to type peasant!

I think it is almost on par with another classic error, that made Flopsy laugh....wedding 'vowels'!

Hmm...the mistakes list grows ever longer!!!

Mini, you can't blame me this time; I might have told you except that I had no way of knowing who to send the pop-up to. Besides, 'pheasant' goes right along with the 'fowl smell' you mentioned earlier in the story.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist... You're such a good sport.

Ah, yes... those insidious little typos that form another valid (but wrong) word so that the spell-checker doesn't catch them. It's funny how you can proofread it multiple times and not catch it because your mind sees what you know it's supposed to say instead of what's actually there. I'm going to start having fun ridiculing and scolding everyone for those mistakes... just as soon as I can stop making them myself! (Don't hold your breath on that.)

At least the one that made flopsy laugh wasn't wedding bowels.
