The LSF Spanking Survey

Have answered some of the questions but lots didn't apply to me as I am more satisfied by the subject and concept than as an active participant. I suspect I'm not alone in this.

I think the purpose of the survey is to tell us the makeup of the population. That is good information in itself, but it will also help with writing the actual quiz, which is what will tell us about ourselves and where we fit into the population. (But, I agree that most of us already know!)

I took the test twice. Thanks for setting this up and, like Mini, I don't think that it is going to tell us anything we don't already know, but it is fun.

21 members gave participated so far - not enough to be a reliable sample - but some interesting early tidbits

When asked when fascination in spanking became apparent, 76.13% said it happened pre-puberty.

And only one participant stated their like of spanking was not a secret. All the rest of us hide it to some degree.

I would give a full transcript of all the figures, but (as of now) I cannot get a table to format inside one of these messages, so the figures look like:

The first two categories are obvious, but if you're going to post the tallies here, please include the question. I don't remember what question the "Never-Rarely-Often-Very often" replies go with.

The sub-headings in the table got cut off on cut and paste. I have not yet got the techie advice of what I am so desperately in need of. (Or something more syntactically correct with the same meaning.)

(p.s. The third question was "How often were you spanked as a child?)

In order to compare what a spanko is with what a vanilla thinks a spanko is, there is now a small section in the survey for vanillas to opine on how they see us.

The difficulty I foresee is getting the vanillas to participate.

Asking spankos to hint to vanilla friends and family that they should take part would work, but the early results suggest that 75% of us don't even let our closest friends in on our secret.

So, if you are one the 25% it would be very illuminating if you could drum up some survey takers who are of the vanilla persuasion. And in case they need such an assurance, the survey is 100% anonymous.

Wasn't able to get a survey-taker, though a vanilla friend did offer this in explanation:

"There are certain people in your life that will never completely put you off. They could literally say "So...I killed a guy yesterday" and while the general idea of such a thing is completely abhorrent, you would probably end up responding with "Really? Why? What happened next?" or some variation of "bet the bastard deserved it". I guess I'm just saying that whether or not I would ever find the idea of what you're into personally appealing, I really don't think that I would ever change my opinion of you over anything you told me. "

Far from the most pleasant of metaphors, but I appreciated the insight into her understanding and tolerance.

We have had 3 vanillas complete the survey so far - not enough to be anything other than a random sample.

Incidentally, 2 of them used a comment field to lodge a protest at the label "vanilla" which neither of them like.

Can anyone suggest a more flavor-free label we could use?
