Corner time and other variants of time outs were standard fare in my schooling, but never in my home life. My third grade teacher would draw a chalk circle on the blackboard and the miscreant would stand in front of said circle, then lean in to touch the blackboard with his/her (almost always HIS - grins) nose. She would leave the culprit in that ignominious posture until she deemed the lesson was learned and then she'd excuse him/her back to his/her seat. Rumor had it that one could learn to HATE the smell of chalk dust, but being an absolute angel in class, I would have had no first-hand experience...

She had such control of our classroom, that she could keep talking/teaching, draw her circle, make eye contact with the offender, raise an eyebrow, and the offender would just sigh, walk to the spot and lean in. Ah, chalk dust.

No corner time for me because all spankings were given before bedtime.

As a matter of fact, I was given corner time very frequently. One of my most common spankers was my friend (and neighbor)'s mother. She was one of those spankers who thought the humiliation aspect was important, so it was really common, to be spanked in front of others, and be put on display afterwards.

I had timeout or spankings but not them together. I don't know of any real parents that use corner time. None of my friends that are parents use it with their kids even the ones that spank. Bare butt spankings yes those happen. Timeout happens. Together....never heard of it.

Hi Beth. Like you, I enjoy stories where teenage girls are spanked, and I occasionally wonder how often and how they occur. We all believe that its rare, but maybe it occurs more frequently than we think. To wit: There are 6.9 billion people on Earth. 52% or 3.6 billion of them are female. Approximately 18% or 650 million of them are teenagers. Yes, there are 650,000,000 teenage girls out there. Yikes. Now we have to do some guessing. Let's say that 1 out of a thousand were spanked sometime in the last year. That's 650,000. And let's say that 5% of those spankings were on the bare bottom. That's 32,500 bare bottom spankings. Let's go on to say that 1% of those girls had to stand in the corner afterwards. That's 325. So chances are that sometime in the last 24 hours, a teenage girl was spanked on the bare bottom and made to stand in the corner.

Excuse her - she's American. That's the way we say it over here.

I didn't get TEM comment until I read your clarification. I had forgotten how it was referred to as maths when I was in New Zealand. Clearly I am getting old for forgetting things from 30 years ago. I did pass the UE exam in 6th form maths, though. I do remember that.

I have to ask, why would they refer to it as "maths". the sentance structure would not make sense if the word "maths" had been used, or am I wrong?
