Catching up after some days with computer problems:

It's currently 6000 words, but the story (and the characters) are stuck. If you send me a pm I will send you a copy so you can read it.
Funnily enough one of my unwritten story ideas is about an author stumbling into the town where all his unfinished story characters live, and I have to say, they are not pleased with him. I've even got the title. Perhaps they should gang up and spank him?
They definitely should! Thanks, I'll try to send you a pm.

I was quite a prolific author in the early days of LSF. Yes my stories did take on a life of their own and I became very attached to some of the characters. I used to roughly compose my stories while walking the dog and then write and edit them. I still consider them to be the best I wrote as they didn't take much thinking about and almost wrote themselves. I really enjoyed writing them back then.
Since then I have had to work much harder at thinking of plots for adult mainly consensual and somewhat erotic stories. For me spanking will always be associated with libido, which is why I don't like CP of children . Recently a combination of computer and prostate problems (which have massively reduced my libido have altered my enjoyment of writing and reading spanking stories. I still read many stories for escapism.
Thanks for replying. Sorry about your health problems.

To answer your other question: One of the things I value most about the Library and LSF is the anonymity, which allows us to explore and participate in a world we would probably like to keep secret from our friends and family. Of course, the downside is that you can't brag to your mother that you have multiple publications or list this on a resume. Life is full of tradeoffs.
I understand you completely. It does raise a couple of interesting ideas for discussion, such as the tabooisation of sexuality especially of the kinkier varieties, but that's probably better left for another time (and thread):
