Just trolling the waters hoping for a nibble.

One of the problems of the Library is it's simplistic search engine. I'm hard pressed to find stories NOT involved with:
school
work
family
Is there a super secret search, or members only trick to use to find what a story isn't? In the meantime any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, although tested.

Since in real life most people spend most of their time with work, school and/or family, isn't it to be expected that well see those themes?

That being said, and without actually checking numbers, I am confident that a very significant portion of my own stories do not deal with those matters.

Ummmm, while searching simply check on subgenres other than "school," "workplace" or "domestic," I would suggest... --C.K.

Like CK I assumed that the majority of my stories would fall outside these categories, but to my horror on looking I found that most do indeed contain the interactions of the protagonists with their family or friends doing the things they do during the day. Even dear Charlotte the Callipygous Champion falls into the work category because she's a Knight and it's her job to slay dragons and right wrongs etc.

Rats. Is there anything else?

I have always enjoyed using the browse function to choose one of the 21 different bookcases. I have read many stories that are not school, work or family.

You can probably get to the same lists via the search function but I like to imagine I am in a specialist bookshop or library when browsing. Once in a bookcase, sometimes I focus on stories with lots of comments, and sometimes I am attracted by the number of views, whether large or small as there are some gems with very few views. I also find the number of hearts useful.

Finally, hovering my cursor to reveal the synopsis reminds me of my local bookstore where staff recommend books with little hand written cards.

In this way, I have doubled my pleasure of making the search an added bonus to enjoy. Maybe I am a bit sad in this? It is just that with over 30,000 stories to choose from, I cannot believe how lucky I am to be part of this.

There must be a lot stories about relationships that do not (at least not yet!) count as family?

Your definition of simplistic differs somewhat from mine, then again as you say you are trolling. You can search for any combination of the following:

title or partial title
keyword, any or all
author
synopsis
orientation
type, i.e. serial, story etc
word count
number of comments
number of views
number of favourites
validation status
choice of 26 implements with any/all
choice of 21 sub-genres
sexual content
age
gender of spankee
gender of spanker

Or if that's not to your liking for whatever reason there's the browse function.

It might help if you would tell us what exactly it is that you are looking for in a story.

I would think boyfriend/girlfriend or girlfriend/girlfriend, etc. stories of various dynamics and age-ranges would be a pretty huge category outside of your "not list". Or even "just friends" stories where the people are neither related nor in a relationship? In a quick review of my own stuff, I found about a third focused on things other than school, work, or family......in fact I don't think I've ever done some absurd "work" story since I used to be an HR manager and work stories are way too out there for me to suspend my disbelief. However, despite having stuff that I believe would fall into ....or out of....your search, I would not recommend them, since I do not think you'd like them. But if friend stories work, I'm sure there are plenty of others you might enjoy.

Also, by 'family' do you mean that the spanking is a typical domestic act or are you averse to stories where people might be related but conducting spankings in an entirely different context? Like say two sisters spanking an older woman as part of a consensual arrangement? Or a woman who spanks someone as part of that person's quest to explore the experience, and then at a later point, the daughter spanks that person as well? I wouldn't consider those "family spanking stories" but perhaps you do?

Some of mine I wouldn't consider falling into those categories:

...And the Beat goes On!
Island Honeymoon
Looking Glass Logic
The Machinery of Justice
The Museum Mystery Misery
The Museum Mystery Mortification
One Arabian Night
Painful Recall
Quantum Subspace
Therapy Session
The Witching Hour

You may not agree with my selection, but I hope you'll enjoy reading them anyway!

My author name is Sir Cambornek.
