kdpierre, your story idea sounds very intriguing.

My story idea is a school board meets in a closed session to discuss reintroducing corporal punishment. They are concerned that while cp is beneficial for most students, it could be traumatic for a few. They come up with the idea to give the students a survey with a few questions on cp buried in it to determine individual student's beliefs and reactions to the idea of cp and assign eligibility accordingly. They then announce the new policy and tell the students their eligibility status. They also tell the ineligible students that they can get a form form any teacher to change their status to authorize cp.

...but presumably not the other way round. This is Spankoland after all

I have a thought about a new wife and stepmother. She is newly married and moves to a new part of the country which is profoundly more interested in corporal punishment. She however is not knowledgeable and the neighborhood ladies help her learn; both by example and offering up their children
