I love reading all genres of stories. Ridiculous sounds good to me. I would love to read your story.

FiBlue:
I'd say to post it.
The realistic ones are great, but sometimes pure flights of fantasy are needed too. There are plenty of other outlandish stories around already, so it would be in good company (assuming it is not too far out to be accepted by our illustrious head librarian, naturally).

Our illustrious head librarian has written plenty of whacky, outlandishly absurd stories of her own - Cheese monsters, Bunyon Bottom etc Heck, I even have an ebook called Spanked with a Sausage!

Who cares if the story isn't plausible or if it's funny and ridiculous. Part of the enjoyment of writing is to use your imagination and just go for it.

So providing the story is ultimately a spanking story and meets the guidelines set out in the author guide, go for it!

Add another vote to the post it column. Silly stories certainly have their place, like SNM I find it hard to take my kink too seriously. Even when I've set out to write serious stories I find they get weirder and sillier as I go. I have various theories I'm sure I could bore everyone on at length but at the end of the day all I'll say is that if readers don't like it they can always move on to another story, after all the Library has such a wide range there is surely something for every spanko.

Flopsy, are you referring to yourself in the third person? As an author, I believe this is a spankable offense.

I agree with the sentiment though. Ridiculous, funny, whimsical, farcical stories are always a welcome change from the norm, even when the norm's stories are as well written as most in the LSF. So carry on, SNM

Well, thanks for the encouragement guys. "The Ladies' Man" is now up, for better or worse. I'll see how this goes over and decide whether to post other unlikely fantasy stories accordingly.

The more I look at the world, as it is described in papers or in tv news, the more ridiculous it seems to me. We have to use the viewpoint, that authors give us; even if they describe a ridiculous world.

Beautifully put SNM-wasting my time reading and writing spanking stories is utterly absurd; however very enjoyable.
Personally I find the idea of grown women accepting any type of punishment so improbable that I make up rather absurd fantasy scenarios that may possibly justify them.
Returning to the real world, CP in boys' schools in was commonplace up to the seventies, I occasionally find it stimulating. I don't like many DD stories -they are sometimes a little to close to abuse for my taste, as are stories involving children-definitely a no-no for me.
There are a few very good romantic spanking stories though that have the ring of possible truth about them, and these I like very much.
We all know that in reality today spanking is a consensual submission to satisfy both partners' desires, that although personally very satisfying is not always stimulating as a story.
There's nothing nice at all about the abuses that lead to the CP that exists today in reality, and therefore IMO the absurdist fantasy-land written with tongue in cheek is the best way to go.

What one person may find ridiculous and outlandish, another may find wondrous or hot. Truth is definitely stranger than fiction at any rate. I say go for it and I see you already have.

I've certainly posted a few absurd spanking stories--designed hopefully to bring a smile to the face of the reader. Try it and see if it passes muster with Flopsy and if she gives it the nod, then gauge what the response is. That's the only way to find out.

As the Shakespearean playwright Ben Johnson remarked on his death bed when asked if it was hard dying, "Dying is easy. Comedy is difficult." Pain is an inherent part of life we by nature avoid because it's a warning that something in our interaction with the universe may have seriously dangerous consequences. We put our hand on a hot stove we immediately pull it back to prevent potentially life threatening burn injuries. Having a high tolerance for pain can sometimes help us win fights or achieve goals but it also increases our risk of getting killed fighting losing battles against superior forces or trying to do something stupid we aren't capable of. The inherent humor of that is in the irony of something we don't enjoy being beneficial to our survival without which we can't enjoy anything. We all have natural limits that may change over time but need to be respected instead of letting our human vanity delude us into ignoring. We shouldn't take spankings seriously because they don't cause serious injuries, but we should respect them as warnings of serious potential risks.
