Well the casting doesn't seem to be going very well but I shall have to leave it to its own devices and hope things pick up a bit. I think we now need to turn our attention to the outline plot. I'm currently in a state of extreme sleep deprivation not to mention under the influence of a heady combination of Red Bull, blueberry muffins, oil of cloves and ibuprofen so not necessarily best placed to start the ball rolling ... however, I think something along the lines of a well known comment grubber is suddenly found murdered in the library necessitating a detailed investigation and the questioning of numerous shifty suspects which let's face it we are in no short supply of here at the LSF. So, we're talking murder mystery with a liberal dose of perviness thrown in for good measure. Has 'Blockbuster' written all over it (well I think that's what it says .. it begins with 'B' anyway .. Oiii who said 'bollox' !!?)

Is SOMEONE suggesting the part of a comment--grubber could adequately be played by a STIFF? I think the sleep deprivation and blueberry muffins have gotten to someone.

But...but... if the movie features a murder won't we be encouraging the murder of real people?

Only if the comment-grubber is a person, rather than a figment of my imagination. We may be encouraging the murder of figments, however.

May I suggest locking up a well known sherry drinking, crisp eating, snowball throwing librarian as a purely precautionary measure!

If the comment-grubber has to die, at least give him (or rather the actor playing him - me or Hugh Laurie) the courtesy of an attention-grabbing death scene. Don't let the body just be discovered on-stage. Not that I'm trying to get co-screenwriting credit or anything.

Who said that you are the comment grubber in question? .. it could well be that you in fact were the perpetrator of the murder having discovered that another author was out-comment grubbing you?

Impossible! The viewers could never suspend disbelief in order to accept that.

(and thanks for the very complimentary pic of HL; I didn't realize just how much he resembles me)
