Februs:
put on the waiting list for cholecystectomy (surgical gallbladder removal).

OMG! A wait list? You Brits and your "free" medical care! Ship Flopsy to the States...we'll yank that gall bladder out in no time! Doctors line up here (on our streets paved with gold) to remove internal organs!

Regards to the bunny for a quick recovery and even quicker medical care!

I had my gallbladder removed via keyhole surgery back in 1992 following many painful episodes and I hope Flopsy gets her op very quickly and all goes well with the procedure and afterwards. Best wishes, Danny.

In reference to sending in library members in costume to rescue Flopsybunny from the hospital, should there be a need for a future rescue, I say we just send in Ms. Thrashbottom. That should get Flopsy and anyone else who wants to be released out in no time, and it's much safer than tying sheets together.

That is a great idea Beth! Mrs T certainly sounds quite a formidable woman (if all those rumours are to be believed) ha ha.

Flopsy, I hope you are feeling much better after your well earned rest. I bet you are glad to be back home again..hospitals are not a fun place to be. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for you op, so that you can soon be back to your bouncy bunny self!! take care!

OR... we could send in library members in costume to yank her gall bladder!

I have lots of practice in the game "Operation" where one has to remove organs from a doll type fiqure, and only got buzzed 3 times for errors!

I've been absent the last couple of days. But in the international press I believe I saw a human interest story from the U.K. about a human sized bunny repelling down a building and jumping into a large open car and disappearing into the urban jungle. I didn't put to much stock in it wedged between all the 'up upheaval in the Arab world' stories but now......................................................

Get well soon Flopsy!

Get well Flopsy. Gallbladders are one of those organs that after removal take all the pain away and make no real difference to your metabolism making us think why the hell it's there in the first place.

Good sherry (if there's something left) or scotch helps relax after the ordeal of climbing down the hospital wall.

There - we have a leader for our surgical team. Next we'll need an anesthesiologist who can bring the scotch.

Hi everyone

Thanks so much for the good wishes and cheery comments.

It's great to be back home again. Not only has the angelic Pinkangel covered for me, she has also eaten all my chocolate and drunk all the whisky. Still, she deserves it for doing such a great job. I will reclaim the bunny ears and cotton tail tomorrow, and say a big thank you to Pink for stepping in.

As for morphine, what weird stuff – I was convinced I was out horse riding! Goodness knows what people thought of me thrashing around in bed with a smile on my face, shouting 'faster!' 'faster!'. Still, it was good to know I provided entertainment for my fellow patients on the ward.

Events of my departure from hospital have been slightly exaggerated. Some say I climbed out of the window on a string of knotted sheets, while others swear I was smuggled out in a laundry basket. But the real truth is I went through the escape tunnel. Having been in hospital for a week, I found I had plenty of time for digging, and owing to the quality of the hospital food, I was able to line the tunnel walls with concrete mashed potato and rice pudding. The tunnel exit is in a secret location on a hillside, and I shall be visiting it again whenever I feel in need of stealing a shot of morphine (I know where they keep the key to the drugs cupboard)

You can't imagine how reassuring it is to know that my chums on the LSF will be able to perform my operation if required ....

It's lovely to be back. Thank you.

flopsy xx
