Thank you Validaters

Here is a question for all validators: Is it "validaters" or "validators?" Neither is accepted by the spell check associated with these posts.

(an off-topic corollary: If I make an allegation, does that make me an alligator?)

Truly, a validater's/validator's work is never done, not when annoying people like me ask them to correct my inane posts, as well as my stories!

I use 'er' but am not really sure which is correct. I do know that a 'validator' is a computer program.

I came across several online dictionary matches for validator. So let's call that one valid.
