Tamsin is an apprentice to Mistress Ettinshaw, a wise-woman. She has two problems - an unrequited crush on Darren, the older apprentice, and frustration that she isn't being trained in more powerful magics.
Her attempt at potion-making does result in a solution to these problems - but an unintended one, that leaves her with a very sore bottom!
