Spanking a Comet

Congratulations to the European Space Agency for executing humanity's first soft landing on a comet. Given that the probe was launched ten years ago, and it takes time to design and build such a thing, you are probably looking at 20 year-old technology and 15 year-old hardware. Yet it seems to have (mostly) worked.

A tribute to the knowledge and skill of many, many scientists - genius!

Congrats to the ESA for such skills displayed. It is genius.

Now given the title, here's an idea for an SF/fantasy spanking story: a world in which it takes ten years from a hand starting to move towards a bottom and the landing. On reflection, I think it would have to relate to beings whose lifespan had been massively extended and who aged very slowly indeed.
