I hate this stupid 'recently viewed screen' that comes up.

I get this screen with the squares of facebook and others. I deleted them out, but I still get the screen. What do these people think 'bookmarks' are for? Why do these computer people push things down someone's throat? I tried messing with the tabs feature, but nothing helps. I use Firefox, but I hear that it doesn't matter what you use.

Try installing Adblock - it's free software and it works wonders!

In Firefox, you will see a little grid of 9 squares in the upper right corner of a new tab screen. Click that to toggle the feature on and off. You should just get a blank page when it is off.

I haven't been able to disable it in Chrome, but I understand there are some extensions that will do the trick. I have Adblock, and it does get rid of most ads, but these are the recent sites you have opened.

Thanks Flopsy and FiBlue. I found out what it was. It's an AddOn called MySearchDial which I just deleted from my AddOn's. Now I just get my homepage as I should.
