Anyone seen Fifty Shades yet?

I think if someone wrote a book called "Fifty Shades of Black and Blue" and a movie was subsequently produced, there might be more interest here.

Even Ten Shades Of Red....

My favourite comment on the film so far (I forget who the film critic was) was that it was more M&S (conservative shopping chain Marks & Spencer for those over the pond) than S&M...

My 79-year-old (Jewish) mother's movie review last night:

"Well, I don't know what to say... it was interesting but kind of crazy, to tell you the truth. People beating up other people, I just don't get it. Why couldn't she find a NICE boy, a doctor maybe, who could treat her like a princess instead?"

LOL Guess I won't be telling her about my kinky interests.

Of course, the nice (Jewish) boy himself may want to be thrashed.

Just come back from seeing 50 Shades and I've got to say...I loved it!

Yes it was a tad slow at times and there wasn't particularly much chemistry between the two leading actors. Some of the lines were cheesy and Anna nibbled her lower lip so much I'm surprised she didn't get a cold sore.

BUT

The spanko content was such that I happily forgive any other faults. There were several verbal threats, slaps during sex, an otk panties down spanking, an over the shoulder slap and of course the hard belting at the end (mind you, they didn't show us any bottom shots or strap marks during this, sadly).

I have never seen a mainstream film with so much spanking fun in it. It turned me on, pure and simply.
PS. - I'm going to see it again tomorrow night...just in case my review tonight has been a little hasty! I wouldn't want to mislead anyone.

I will re-assess my opinion, having had time to ponder and sleep on the subject. If I decide, having watched it again, that I don't enjoy seeing a handsome man hauling a girl over his knee, pulling her panties down and spanking her bottom, I'll correct my critique.

Thanks for making the sacrifice, Mini! I think you should be appointed official library film critic. Your opinion seems to agree with a couple of TV reviews I heard, including Mark Kermode, that while it had its flaws it was nowhere near as bad as they were expecting!
