About Roger Benson

Why can't I find him in the authors' list even though I often see his name in the "latest additions"? Or is it another Benson?

He's not in the author list because we don't have an author here called Roger Benson, only John Benson.

And John is one heck of an author.

Roger Benson is an artist. There are several illustrated books out there that feature his 50's style domestic discipline drawings. I have two of them but I don't know how I came by them. I'm not sure he wrote the text in those books. It may have been somebody named Brummet (sp?). Anyway I once made contact with someone purporting to represent him because I wanted to use his drawings as ebook covers. He refused.

We did contact him roughly 3 years ago and sent him several email messages, politely asking if he'd grant permission to let us load his Bared Affair articles. We know he got our emails as he subsequently registered on the site with the charming user name of 'bilgepot'. Unfortunately, he didn't do us the courtesy of replying to any of our emails. However, we weren't that surprised as I had been forewarned that he has a tendency to rudeness.

So I guess now he knows.

Probably not, unless someone knocks on his door and tells him. Looking at the member list, he hasn't been on this site in over 3 years, which was right around the time he registered. Now that's rude! Too bad for him - he's missing some pretty good inspiration for his drawings.
