What do you look for in a spanking story

Primarily, a good story. Stories are still stories, whether they are mysteries, dramas, romances or "spanking stories." Actually, good spanking stories should be, in my estimation, stories about something other than spanking/CP, but which contain a spanking/CP angle or feature as part of the overall story that manifests organically within the context of the plot. I know others disagree given the large volume of favorites which are not stories at all, but scenes of various types of school or domestic discipline written along the arc of infraction-discovery-punishment. I'm guilty too, so I'm not throwing stones, but really good stories are entertaining tales in their own right.

I grew up in an environment where my exposure to spanking was through mainstream sources - movies, TV, talk radio, books, magazines and the rare conversation at home or school. So the sources that satisfied my thirst for all things spanking were 99% discipline and 1% erotic if that. That obviously affects what "entertains" me concerning corporal punishment to this day. So I very much favor discipline situations that eliminate any hint of eroticism. Of course if the scenario is erotic to begin with that's a whole different story. I favor M/F, m/F, m/f or M/f stories. Give me those orientations and toss in plausible situations, some humor and a punishment in proportion to the crime and I'm all in.

I want the girl to completely deserve what's coming to her. I do not want her to have a plausible excuse for her behavior. With so many of these domestic stories involving single-parent families because of disease, auto accident, abandonment or divorce I find that I often have sympathy for a grieving or depressed girl who is only acting out her inner misery. Better to have a middle class or better family, with both parents present and the girl be spoiled, mean-spirited or just plain mischievous and well earning of any punishment that comes her way.

I find by far most workplace punishment to be way over the top and impossible to justify. But I tell you what, I'm willing to suspend all manner of logical thinking when I'm in the middle of an excellent read.

I guess I could go on and on but allow me to mention one more preference. Several of my favorite stories in this library are role-reversal. For me, nothing better than to have a young man, even a high- schooler, spank his mother or other female authority figure.

I prefer F/M stories with humiliation, OTK, and a story line that is believable.
