As NJRick Marlowe appears to be on holiday, allow me to draw your attention to the achievement of a significant milestone by our hostess, esteemed authoress Flopsybunny.

According to the Words stats, in the second part of her newest series, 'Waiting for the Cane' (which is an excellent read by the way), she passed one million words posted here in the Library.

If my word counting was accurate, that word was:

'sounded'

as in

"Eight?!" Gemma's voice sounded an octave higher than usual. She couldn't believe what she'd just heard. Eight strokes? Eight? No way. "B-b-but sir," she bleated.

Flopsy in fine form as ever...

Add to these hundreds of stories her output published separately by LSF Publications Unlimited, and she has surpassed Marcel Proust with her own inimitable take on A La Recherche du Temps Perdu (and she's a lot more fun!).

Simply amazing and for that to come right at the onset of the Olympics is truly fitting for this Olympian feat! I had the honor of validating this so I am delighted to be tangentially associated with this Herculean milestone!

Since I can't figure out how to, and may in fact not be able to, start a new forum topic I felt this to be the best one to comment on...based on the banner at the top of the site I'm guessing that it's FlopsyBunny's birthday so I wanted to wish her a happy one!
