A quick note about An Elective History Course

My new series, An Elective History Course, has just been posted, and I wanted to mention something.

There is no spanking in Part 1. None. There is just character exposition as we meet the story's heroine, a college girl who took an elective history course and treated it as if it was a joke. When she realises that this could negatively impact her GPA, she takes a page from her high school days and recruits a history nerd to do a major project for her, shamelessly toying with him, then dropping him when the project was done. But he doesn't have any hard feelings, and to prove it he mentions that there is going to a historical reenactment with a paid role. That role includes showing a bit of skin, but no more than she showed when she was toying with him.

There is no spanking in Part 2. None. It merely sets the scene, building up the setting for the historical reenactment, which is happening at a school and is recreating a school from the late 1800s.

There is no spanking in Part 3. None, but she is on a stage and bending the way a schoolgirl would have to when she was being punished in a school in the late 1800s. Actually, she demonstrates several different positions, all with her former toy watching her.

There is no spanking in Part 4. None, but things have taken a dramatic turn for her. Luckily she gave "informed consent" for various things to happen, and she did such a wonderful project, one that proves she researches everything, so she must be fully informed about her role, right? How could anyone have the slightest hint that that she couldn't be bothered to open certain email attachments.

That's right, by the time Part 3 ends we are over 4,000 words into the story and there has yet to be a single spanking. Part 4, that's another almost 1400 words covering various things (including some of the history of early cameras).

And no, those aren't wasted words (at least not in my eyes) but if you just want to skip ahead to the spanking stuff, start at Part 5. If you start there and wonder "Hey, how is she positioned?" then go back and read part 4. If you're reading that and wondering who everyone is and why things are happening, go back and start at Part 1.

Because that's where the story of the spanking starts, even if the action doesn't begin until much later.

GG, no way I would skip anything you write. If I do read it, I'll read it all and that's a promise. Thanks so much for the head's up on the story. I think everyone else will appreciate this, too.

No, the story couldn't have been entered. A version of it was posted on another site. As for the note, it was only 425 - a quarter of the words required by the challenge.

And yes, I do envy those who can short, neat stories (and notes). I know I tend to go a bit overboard with the word count, but that's how I write.

I have also on occasion been accused of torturing readers with insanely long buildups to the actual spanking. Don't worry about it, if it's a good story people will keep reading. Good fiction is always about the characters not necessarily their kinks.

I think the story is one of the best, very well done and thanks.

Thank you all for your compliments, but I have to point out the number of readers for each part of this story.
Part one has the most readers, which is to be expected.
Part two, well there's a huge drop in the numbers that go on to part two.
Parts three and four - they are also lower than part 2, but are more or less the same.

Then comes part five, which is flagged as "minor sexual content, adult F/F, Cane, Strap." The number of people who have viewed that is far above those who have seen 3 and 4, a sign that people are skipping to the good part.

Part 6? The lowest number of views, but most of the action does happen in parts 4 and 5.

So again, if you are only reading the good part and want to know how she is secured, read part 4 for the details.

Please don't call that the 'good' part. It is all good. I, personally, prefer the buildup to the actual spankings in most stories.

Personally I like every part of the story (if not I would have edited some parts out), but some people like getting to the "action" or the "good part" as soon as possible. The old "cut to the chase" bit.

I disagree with cutting to the good part, but the fact remains that the fifth part of the story is getting more views than the 3rd and 4th parts.
