BBC i-player is available online (www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer) - I think they make programmes available for a few days after first broadcast.

Some of you wizards may know of a way to spoof it, but the player blocks me with the message "Not available in your area". It most somehow know (I presume by my IP) that my USA tax payments don't go to support the BBC.

There wasn't much content to interest a pervert like me but I was taken with the following concept about society. When the State was managed with a very small number of people, the justice for breaches of law was invariably violent, either corporal or capital punishment. Prisons were places where this violence was carried out, not places to accomodate a long stay. As the State grew larger the process of justice became non violent. Obvious really but what with the heated debate going on in the US and the UK about the role and size of government and subsequent taxes etc this did interest me.
