Yes, Congratulations England, victory by an innings and 71.
A truly magnificent win.

Yes I know that I'm a very naughty boy and will be probably called to see Miss Thrashbottom , but it'll be worth it.
The last two weeks I've been staying up till two am watching it live till lunch on match days but I've been writing stories during the quiet times. (Is there any other game so civilised as to break for lunch and tea?)

I also happen to know that the Chief Librarian resides in the greatest cricketing county in the world as well, hows that for a bit of creeping.
Tonight makes up a little for my penance watching the first day at Headingley with my son and cousin last summer

Damn!

I thought the title of this thread was 'The Asses!'

I have to be careful to line up my trifocals.

So the Chief Librarian lives in Lancashire. . .

All the same, it was a well deserved win and there will be more; or else.

You Poms do it so rarely you deserve to celebrate it. I have the feeling that it's going to be quite some time before the Australians regain the urn. Having said all that this is what needed to happen to Australian cricket and they'll be better for it in the long term. At least we can rid of that idiot Hilditch.

No way is Lancashire the best county at anything. Yorkshire is number one, indeed God's own county and the head librarian is extremely suspect anyway as a Man U supporter.

The Librarian I was referring to told me she lived on the Right side of the Pennines, not in that other place to which you refer Swishswitch.

I believe that the right side of the Pennines is Yorkshire - unless looking from Scotland.
Was when I lived there.

I doubt Flops would know the difference between a square leg and a silly mid-on.
