I learned something new from this quiz. Now I know that American cheerleaders wear a piece of apparel which are called "spankies". But *why* are they called "spankies"? Did the cheerleaders actually get spanked? It is a very nice thought! What about this idea - in order to make the football players more motivated, they could have a rule that the members of the winning team always got to spank the cheerleaders of the losing team! Wouldn´t that be great?

"the ones that Venus Williams wore of a color that led some to believe she had gone commando on the court"

I've kept that photo and I can tell you it isn't only because of the color! It's because the material isn't tightly stretched over the buttocks as it should; each cheek is separated from its twin and well rounded.

Okay, I promised that I would post the correct answers in a couple of days. Actually, all five have already been ansered correctly. Erwin, you got 1-4 right. As for #5, don't feel bad, I've never been under a cheerleaders skirt either. (Maybe someone should should feel bad for both of us.) Slong 667, you got #5 right. Cheerleaders do indeed wear spankies under thier skirts. Philk, you answered whipping for #4. Close enough! Though the answer I had in mind was whipped, you get full credit for that one. Galt54, you wondered why what a cheerleader wore under her skirt is called spankies. Good question! Once upon a time, cheerleaders' skirts were long enough that most of them probably wore regular panties under them. But as cheerleaders skirts got shorter, and their moves got more athletic, they needed something under thier skirts that would not be considered inappropriate to show. A color coordinated garment was worn, and they still are to this day. When a cheerleader would make a mistake in practice, her short skirt made it easy for her coach or the head cheerleader to lift of the back of said short skirt, and deliver one or more spanks to the seat of the aforementioned color coordinated garment. Cheerleaders getting spanked in practice was common enough that the garment became known as spankies. While I don't know of any school where cheerleaders still get spanked for mistakes in practice, the name has stuck. Since the name was given because of the practice of spanking, I judge spankies to be a legitimate corporal punishment term.

Erwin, you got 1-4 right.

But if PhilK hadn't answered #4, I would have stuck there, even if we Germans are "beating" the cream (Sahne schlagen -> Schlagsahne, schlagen <-> to beat, Sahne <-> cream) .

And I bet flopsy had the answers, too. But was to much polite to crush our joy by giving away the answers so early.
I had also to argue with myself if I should give them to the public. My compromise was that free space as spoiler alarm zone.

I like this kind of funny "online" quiz, but it's funnier if more people have fun.
