Todays football fixtures were particularly poignant to those of us who remember Alex.
He was a great 'Baggies' fan (West Bromwich Albion of the NW part of Birmingham.)
They have a new young manager and are flying high in the Prem.
Today they played the mighty Manchester United at Old Trafford and drew 2-2 away, a great result that Alex would have cherished.

A draw at Old Trafford? That counts as a win against Man U.

Though I have read and enjoyed, much of Alex's work, I did not know he was a West Brom fan.
Just for a question, did he follow cricket? If so, I wonder what he would have thought about the Ashes Series this year in Australia.
Those who have never heard of the Ashes, deserve to be spanked!
Google for "the Ashes" and learn!

I think that Alex like all good English cricket fans had the usual love hate relationship that Poms have with Aussies. That is that we like them individually, respect their ability but take the greatest delight in any defeat that Australia suffers!
I attended a few of the last Ashes series and although the rivalry was raucous we all sat together, got drunk together and there was absolutely no violence.
The only spoilsports were the stewards being heavy handed towards the empty beer mug snakes.

Here's to the Ashes a wonderful sporting event!

Apparently Man U gave the match away-one report said that Manure should have been 4 or 5 nil up at half time-even more satisfying and funny!
We must never forget that Alex possessed one criteria essential for a Manure fan -he didn't live anywhere near Old Trafford

Alex Birch, was for me one of the greatest writers in Spanking Literature. His spanking stories, turned me on. In his writings , every woman that was to be spanked, every knickers, that were pulled off her bottom, every bare bottom that was to be seen, every caning that was given to a naughty woman, every humiliation, she felt upon being spanked, every word he brought to the forementioned scene of her spanking was pure perfection. I would have classified him as 'Spankings' own William Shakespeare.

We all do here. And it's exactly one year since he left us.
