Is there any artist in the group? Someone, who draws, sketches or paints. I have an idea for a story, a woman posing naked on a rock at a popular beach. She doesn't want to pose naked in public, only in the studio. How would an artist produce the required painting?

Get the model to pose on the rock, fully clothed, and photograph her and the background. Then, paint the background, and, in the studio, get the model to pose naked in the same position (and with the same lighting) as she did in the photograph, enabling the artist to paint her posing naked on the rock.

There's also the possibility of creating an image in Photoshop or similar by combining photos of the naked model and the background, then painting that, but I think that might not provide as good results as using a live model.

Thank you myrkassi. This is an idea for a story. I've used photography ( which I know) a couple of times in stories; I wanted something different.

The artist could color sketch her in whatever degree of dress she is comfortable with on the rock in the lighting he prefers. Lighting, and how it affects color is the main issue with figures outdoors. The incidentals of her more intimate anatomy can then be done indoors with the color palette based on the outdoor sketch. Any decent figure artist should be able to do this with little issue. Outdoor nudes were the basis of my Master's thesis and I employed several methods to achieve my goals of color accuracy. It's not a difficult problem to overcome.

KDP you're Master's thesis sounds much more interesting than most.
